Pretty much. His contract isn’t guaranteed for next season. That being said, I think they signed Baldwin with the idea of developing him. He’ll be a cheap end of the bench guy next season.

Pretty much. Have to let him go by June 30 before his contract becomes guaranteed. Of course they could always kick that deadline down the road but what’s the point, he’s shown literally zero development. I’m not even sure he would survive Europe.

He showed me some maturity when after the first steal and dunk when Harden chest butted him, he stood his ground and just patted Harden on the butt. Then on his 2nd steal, instead of trying to force something, he slowed it down, got the ball to Nurk and the ended up with Nurkic later getting a layup.

Quite mature for a guy who has played so few games...to not get caught up in his own success.

he’s in my playoff rotation. Imagine him WITH Lillard and CJ. We can run those three guard lineups but we now actually have a guy that can guard bigger players.

Many here still ask why the Grizz let Baldwin go. Here's why:

Is it just me or is this the best I've ever felt after a loss? I'm really pumped for our team now. I can't imagine how I'd feel if we'd won!

Post-cut, he admitted to being humbled, and has changed his attitude.

He acknowledge it (props) and there was no leader on the Grizzlies anywhere near like what the Blazers have in Lillard.

Well, Conley isn't a slouch so I wouldn't say anywhere NEAR but Dame is an awesome leader esp for young players like Wade and Nurk.

If WB4 is an option at starting SG, does that open up a CJ for Kawhi trade without losing anything (and maybe gaining something) at the shooting guard position?

    Dame
    WB4
    Kawhi
    Zach
    Nurkic

    Bazz
    Pat
    Turner
    Biggie
    Ed Davis

That's a decent team that could win games in playoffs.

He reminded me of young Westbrook tonight, back when Russ was unproven and was locked in defensively. We’re still underutilizing him offensively though. He needs the ball in his hands. It’d make a lot more sense to have Shabazz/CJ off the ball since they're better shooters. That’s not Baldwin’s game. Baldwin is a better playmaker however. Always looking for teammates and puts zip on his passes. He’s got an arm; used to play baseball.

I would trade CJ for Kawhi in a heartbeat.
