I feel like it deserves it's own thread. That was the biggest shot of his career, I still can't get it out of my head. What was he thinking and how did he make it? Can anyone post a video so we can discuss its greatness?
It seems that we often judge our young players on only their three point shooting, because that's all we ever see from them..... thanks to our offense. I am not convinced that Layman is bad as most think. Leonard, Layman, and Collins....three guys 6'9 and above who shoot too many 3's IMO. When they don't...they look a lot better on O.
That's the thing with Jake though. All of his moves look great. He looks and moves like a good basketball player, but his shot just never actually goes through the basket. Maybe that will change some day. I root for every Blazer to succeed.
How ironic, that the guy who can give you 10 different angles of it, including 4 SUPER-MO looks...... you have on IGNORE. I can send you a link to my dropbox if you want.

@HCP....I'd like to see that shot. Was in a client meeting late and missed the game. Would love to see the 17-0 run somehow.
I think Patty's dunk/fall/FT after shaking off that fall was the most impressive single play of the game last night. That, and Wade's pick on a Harden crossover.
Maybe he should create a whole other thread with that video of the shot so people can actually see it.
That and the Poison IV steal after the inbound play. And the time directly after that, when he drew an offensive foul on Harden. And then the time after that when Harden wanted to show Wade up and over dribbled and missed a layup. The funny thing is that the crowd cheered during Harden's over dribble fest.
The video ("Houston, meet the Closers") shows the 17-0 run...including the Layman pivot, reverse pivot, fadeaway jumper.....silk! Also, watch the next video when Baldwin is asked about his defense. http://www.nbcsports.com/northwest/video/closers-comeback-strange-bizarre-and-entertaining-effort
I watched it live and it was fun. But thanks for the tip on that Baldwin video. He's an intriguing player.
That was the greatest shot of his life. It reminded me of a pool game I was in where I got pissed at my opponent for not calling a difficult shot. I had run the table and had one ball left. He had 5 or 6 balls left and mine was hopelessly mixed in with his. My only chance was to make a jump shot, come off the bank at an angle and hit the 8 ball knocking it into the corner pocket. Well, I made the shot and acted as though this were an everyday thing. He hung up his stick and proclaimed "I can't beat shooting like that"; I had just made the dream shot of my life. That's what Jake did.
I had doubts about him but I'm now sold on Baldwin. What a performance and to think he did it mostly to Harden, LOL.
