We are STILL the third seed because of our extraordinary play when we were healthy. And we beat good healthy teams like the Warriors (even with Curry!) and Jazz (in Utah by 19!). This road trip was always going to be hard, even if we were healthy. And we're not. The Spurs are 32-8 at home. It was always going to be a difficult game. Remember what Shonz used to say? Nobody said it was going to be easy! We are STILL 3rd seed and if we beat Utah at home on Wednesday, we will still be the third seed. That would be an amazing accomplishment. Ed should be back by then and that will definitely help. What were your expectations this year and how has Stotts failed you? Stotts is a top 5 or 6 COTY candidate. Didn't you say it was gonna be easy...? We're making the 3 seed come down to the last game of the season when we could use rest. If we took care of business (MEM, DAL, a depleted BOS) we would've clinched by now. We're playing bad and it's a bad sign for playoffs. We still haven't even clinched homecourt. I love how you were talking about getting the 2 seed a couple weeks ago when we were 10 games back, as if we had the 3 seed in the bag, and now you're saying everything's fine because all we have to do is win our last game for the 3 seed. Ironic and silly. You also claimed I wasn't paying attention because I thought there was a chance we'd lose out.. We've lost 3 games since then and only have 2 more to go.... Basically, you're the last person who should be calling out people, especially the entire forum, which you seem to do quite often.
I couldn't have said it any better myself! When Ed and Mo get back it will help big time as they were the D energizers. And you are correct in that Stotts & Neil have exceeded what most were predicting 7/8 seed or worse. The one things this team has demonstrated is the ability to fight through struggles and showing character when needed.
Sometimes a team needs a kick in the britches. I just think they need to go out and have some fun. Quit looking in the rear view mirror, and step on the gas.
