What's the point if the Lakers get in this season. I mean, I love the Lakers and everything but, at this point they are in no shape to be competitive in the playoffs. They shouldn't tank or give up but, do they really have a chance? After all these injuries it seems as if the Lakers are going to just limp through the obligitory 4 games in the first round. Of course I want the Lakers to do their best and give it their all, but I also want them to hurry the hell up to the offseason so they can rest. It's been a tough year.

plus, they can defy the odds and get the #1 pick......And the warriors can make the playoffs if that happens.

Hey man, the Lakers were playing the Suns in Phoenix last night on the second game of a back to back. Kobe shot 7/26, Lamar shot 7/19, Smush Parker didn't score, and the Lakers lost by 8. They can make a series with Phoenix, they just need to get there.

Suns fans just won't accept defeat. When they lose they always use the same excuse. Uhh we had a off night.... No you lost

What did that comment have anything to do with this thread anyway? It's always better to make the playoffs than to just miss it, imo.

Even if the Lakers fall to the lottery they really have no chance of getting a high draft pick. LA would be best playing the Suns in the playoffs. Chances are they will lose but it will give some of the younger guys like Bynum more playoff atmosphere. LA has to start looking towards next season now however.

At this point the biggest upside to missing the playoffs would be the message it would send to management. The Lakers organization will not accept missing the playoffs 2 out of 3 years, they'd finally make a lot of changes just to shake things up, like in the 2005 offseason.

Besides the typo wasn't even what he was saying...he was quoting ASUfan. Regardless, it doesn't have to do with the topic, and I am just trying to clean things up.

Even if we win out, if GS and LAC win 2 out of 3, we are out. [IMG]
