They've won more games though. They only won 40 games last year. This year they have 46 and might win #47 tonight.
For the award, the whole season needs to be taken into consideration last year, not just when he played for us.
I disagree. After getting his weight down, which to me, helped him play through the year, he's playing his best BBall now. And he has been pretty consistant after a rough start. Next year he will have an excellent chance at this award. Blazers need to get him re-signed. They were saying he turned down a 80 mil. offer. Wants 100, on Denver radio the other day. They must have got that from somewhere. By the way, Denver hates him. He's public enemy #1. I give it to him because he has a huge ceiling and he is developing into quite a force. Yes, there will need to be writing in the contract, but I think Nurk wants to please. Let's go Nurk-u-ler.
They added an "all star" in Millsap and Murray's scoring has improved by a lot more than Jokic's (6.8 more ppg for Murray vs. 1.5 more ppg for Jokic). POR has improved by just as much, possibly more (from 41 wins to 48 or 49) and you're saying Nurk, whose scoring and rebounding averages improved by 4.1/1.8 and whose defense completely turned this team around on that end of the court doesn't deserve consideration, but Jokic, whose scoring and rebounding averages improved by 1.5/.9 does? BNM
Oh, I was just saying Denver has won more games than last year not that that meant Jokic should win MIP. Not that it means Nurk shouldn't. Just pointing it out when you said that Denver was in the same position last year. Playoff-wise yes but not total wins. That's all.
