My niece and great nephew sat in row B behind the Utah bench. I guess some of our fans were harassing Utah when Ricky Rubio got upset and started yellinf at the fans "SHUT THE FUCK UP!". Nice guy, huh.

It kind of reminds me of Bonzi Wells.

As a professional athlete he should know to just let it go, but having been to a fair amount of sports events... some fans really do need to shut the fuck up. Unless it’s funny/witty, keep it to yourself, these athletes are people too, keep it respectful.

For the most part, so do I. I will be rooting for them to meet us in the WCF.

Johnny Depp called Rubio and asked for his Captain Jack makeup kit back. Never seen so much eye shadow in my life.

You really have to respect what they've done in Utah. Amazing run. Who thought they would be this good?

Rubio is ridiculously underrated. But the foul trouble and Dame got in his head last night.

Nobody with a career FG% of 38.5 can be underrated. They are just “rated”.

Fans are the worst sometimes. Need to be reeled in. I took my three sons to a Padre game in SD during spring break and the guy behind us was absolutely hammered and using all kinds of language etc. He almost fell onto us once. Fucking ridiculous.

I have no problem with Rubio saying something EXCEPT that kids would hear his language. Otherwise F that fan.

I’m cool with him telling a fan to shut up.

I’m not cool with his last samurai vibe though.

To be fair he’s really improved his shooting, but yeah I don’t know if I can call him underrated. Even casual fans probably know who he is.

You have no idea what "that fan" said. The OP just mentioned that some fans were "harassing" Rubio. Maybe they were calling him Bricky...

He was EXTREMELY overrated early in his career. He is what he is, a great passing, poor shooting, good defending PG with decent size..

Being paired with Donovan Mitchell is the perfect situation for Rubio. He can now play off the ball late in the game and let Mitchell take over. In MIN he was frequently benched in the 4th quarter because other teams would just back off him completely, play the passing lanes and dare him to shoot.

Being a non-scoring threat makes him ill suited to be a lead guard in today's NBA. Paired with Mitchell, he's no longer the lead guard.

I've been all in on the Ricky bandwagon since he was throwing no look passes to Rudy in 2007. My Ricky fandom is irrational, but some of this has to do with expectations. People thought he was the next Pistol Pete. He's clearly not that. He's a terrific playmaker and defender.

I think Westbrook will have a handful with him.

Yeah he did great against Dame last night. :ghoti:

That said, I really want Utah to take OKC to seven and win. I like their team.

I'd heckle Rubio for his haircut....Wheels said last night ...Rubio says that's not a foul and the ref says....that's not a real haircut... Cracked me up.

Combine Rubio’s passing with Rudy Fernandez’s shooting and you’d have a complete ball player.....as long as you weren’t too picky about that defense thing......

Rubio is one of the best 5 PG defenders in the league.

See what I mean regarding the underrating?
