We all know that the NBA Draft is a gamble. The ping pong balls can fall your way or screw you over completely. (cough cough) :no3: Tim Duncan. If Boston gets hosed again what do you guys think we should do? A lot of people have expressed interest in trading the pick, I also agree with that. But they're are still some talented prospects in this draft and a lot of them are getting overlooked in my opinion. Mike Conley, Jeff Green, Brandon Wright, Roy Hibbert, Al Horford, all of these guys have great potential to be special players.
Well, there are a ton of options this summer, that's why I'm staying optimistic. But to answer your question: if the worst happens, and we don't end up getting a top 2 pick on May 22nd, then yes we should most certainly look to trade the pick. I think that if the worst happens, that pick (#3-5), Theo's expiring contract, young player(s), and possibly future picks could get us a really good deal. Gasol will likely be available, Jermaine could be available, KG could be available. We'll see, I don't know what's out there, but I'm optimistic Danny will find something. But whether we get a top 2 pick or not, we need to make deals. We need to deal some of these young players and we need to bring in a solid/good veteran or two. If not, don't even waste Pierce's sweet time - shop him.
I just had a horrible thought.what if ainge packages the pick, theo and someone else for Zach Randolph!? :censored2:
