Raptors/Wizards (Raptors in 6) Celtics/Bucks (Bucks in 7) Sixers/Heat (Sixers in 6) Cavs/Pacers (Cavs in 6) Rockets/Wolves (Rockets in 6) Warriors/Spurs (Spurs in 7) Blazers/Pelicans (Blazers in 5) Thunder/Jazz (Jazz in 6)
Raptors/Wizards (Wizards in 7) Celtics/Bucks (Bucks in 6) Sixers/Heat (Sixers in 4) Cavs/Pacers (Pacers in 6) Lebron to Portland Rockets/Wolves (Wolves in 7) Warriors/Spurs (Warriors in 5) Blazers/Pelicans (Blazers in 5) Thunder/Jazz (OKC in 7)
Is this going to be a contest? Who is going to compile everyone's guesses? What are the rules? I'd vote that closest to the total right games (with total score closest to 0). For example, Portland & NOP. If I pick Blazers in 5, I'm predicting 4 Blazer wins & 1 NOP win. If Blazers win in 7, that would mean the NOP won 3 games (instead of 1 predicted), so I'd get a +2 score. If NOP won the series in 6, they would have 4 wins (compared to 1 predicted for a +3) & Portland would have 2 wins (compared to 4 predicted for a +2) so my total score for the series would be +5. Whomever is closest to 0 wins. That make sense?
East - Raptors, Celtics, Sixers, Cavs. My God, don't expect me to know in how many games. It's all I can do to call the winners. West - Rockets, Warriors, Blazers, Jazz. Hey, just that little bit wore me out. I'm old. Okay? Edit: Raptors in 5, Celtics in 6, Sixers in 5, Cavs in 6; Houston in 4, Warriors in 6, Portland in 6, Utah in 5. Whew, I'm so tired I think it's time for a nap.
I think Sixers are making it to the conference finals and maybe even the Finals. They are buzzing right now, won 16 in a row and the city is absolutely crazy about that team. Winning there is going to be spectacularly difficult, the way they annihilated Bucks the other night was astonishing. They have Redick, Johnson and a few more experienced players. Besides that I don't think Simmons or Embiid are particularly fussed with the pressure, they seem to feed on it.
Raptors/Wizards in 5 Celtics/Bucks in 6 Sixers/Heat in 5 Cavs/Pacers in 6 Rockets/Wolves in 6 Warriors/Spurs in 6 Blazers/Pelicans in 7 Thunder/Jazz in 7
Wizards in 6. I just don't understand the faith in the Raptors. We are talking about Playoffs' Raptor's right? The same team who has been the two seed and had home court advantage for several season's and STILL could not get past their opponent in the first round. When the east was much more easier back then and a 7th and 8th seeded team were much worse teams then what a 7th and 8th seed team is this years Playoffs. So you are telling me, that with MORE pressure of being the #1 seed they are going to to exercise their 1st round demons and finally get to the second round? I guess I need to see it to believe it.
Bucks in 6 Sixers in 7 Cavs in 6 Rockets in 6 Spurs in 6 Blazers in 5 I don't think AD plays every game in this series. Jazz in 6
Raptors have won their first round series the past 2 years, and haven't lost a first-round series as a 2 seed. The last couple years, they've only lost to Lebron. They've won more playoff series' in the past two years than the Blazers have in the past 17.
Utah is like the anti-OKC. They're so much more disciplined and methodical and will control the pace. I think Utah in 5.
I can't imagine how insufferable Eric's posts will be if the Warriors actually lose in the first round. We'll all have to leave...
