As great as this day is for Major League Baseball and even the whole U.S, there has been someone who hasn't been talked about, and maybe should be as talked about as Robinson.Jackie's manager Branch Rickey. Without him, Robinson wouldn't have even been on a team. He gave him a chance to play, despite being attacked and ridiculed by the public. He took the chance and courage to sign a black person to a Major League Contract, something that was unheard of during that time.Give that some thought, and let's honor both Jackie and Branch today.
