Anime is so wack. My Moms friends kids are in love with Japanese stuff its so annoying. Like they know how to pronounce every single name perfectly and are pussies when it comes to sports. Everytime they would come over to visist I comeback home after my ball game and they are watching some gay ass sh*t.
^Seriously. I hate anime. I'm in Japanese and theres like at least 7-9 girls in my class who are anime freaks. They're all weird as hell too.

I agree that sh*t sucks. it's crappy drawings and bad story lines anyway. also, I think a lot of the older crowd buys it because some of the sh*t is very hardcore, so it's the closest to porno they can find.

I know nothing about anime, and I currently don't have the interest to watch any more anime films. I've seen the basics, and don't want to go further.That being said, despite my limited knowledge and belief that many animes I've seen are marketing ploys, one day I was talking to a film buff who recommended me an anime film. I tried changing the conversation, ignoring him, the works.A week later, I saw the film in a two part package, and considering it would come to under $20, I decided to buy them. The film, Rur?ni Kenshin: Meiji kenkaku roman tan: Tsuioku hen, is my third favorite film of all time, and without a doubt the most spinechilling. It's the only film I've ever seen that, upon realizing most people will never know of it, I start feeling sorry for them. Yes, it is that good.Besides that, like I said, I have limited knowledge and don't plan to go any further. If people want to make anime videos, let them. It really isn't that big a deal, and many of you anime "haters" who frown so highly upon the series probably base your opinions more on stereotype than knowledge.
I despise anime. I saw a video that was worse though. It had Harry Potter with 8 Mile music. Disgusting. Harry Potter is not ghetto.
Kenshin is quality. Especially the late episodes, after 35-64.Samurai Champloo is ridiculous as well. And it only has 26 episodes. I saw them all on youtube. The great thing about this show is it has an ending and a beginning, much like it's predecessor, the more lame Cowboy Bebop. I thought Robotech was pretty good too, even if it was slow. These are stories told in episodes. There was a palpable depth of story and action, which made for a pretty quality viewing experience throughout the development.And some of the older anime movies are bomb. Not the hardcore sh*t necessarily. But the quality of writing and character (not characters) in Ninja Scroll and Golgo 13 is astounding. When I was a teenager, we thought Fist of the North Star was good.Just like any entertainment, some outfits raise the form to art. Most just throw something together. But illing out over the entire thing is about as stupid as saying, "Rock music is stupid," or "Cool kids don't listen to Hip Hop."

However, going from the OVA to TV series wasn't the best move, because it was a transition from breathtaking brilliance to lighthearted good intention.
