The Raptors signed Jackson to a contract for the remainder of this season and the 2007-08 campaign Saturday. "I'm excited about it, I think I can fit in well here, and the coaching staff and all the guys on the team have been really great to me coming in, so I felt like I fit in since Day 1," Jackson said after practice Saturday. Jackson, who had been playing for the Idaho Stampede of the National Basketball Development League, initially joined the Raptors on a 10-day contract, and then signed his second 10-day deal on April 4. "I think playing 30-plus minutes in the D-League for a month definitely got my game where it needed to be and I came in and practised well and I think that helped," said Jackson. The six-foot-seven forward has averaged two points in just under six minutes a game in his six appearances with the Raptors. With Idaho, he averaged 14.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 23 games, and shot 48 per cent from three-point range. Jackson, 25, was a first-round pick (10th overall) by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2004 NBA draft and played two seasons with the Cavs. He's bounced around since, with stints in Boston and in Los Angeles with the Clippers.</div>

Good for him. He's earned it. To be honest, I havnt seen many Raptor games lately...but from what I've seen, he's a team player, who's smart, and he shoots the ball well. He's sort of like Jorge Garbajosa, but he doesn't quite have the hustle or defense of Jorge.

Luke is going to take Joey Graham's Minutes all of next year. And those minutes are probably going to be increased because Garbajosa is coming off the injury. Who knows about Mo Pete, but he's going to fit in well, just like Dixon
