You are right of course, and I do always have a book in progress. But since I had both lenses replaced, and now must wear reading classes to read,
I can't seem to take it more that about a hour a day. Then need to wash eyes and well hell... You get the picture.

This is not really about the world being geared to me, but about who is being targeted and how. I has not been this way all that long.

    Penicillin should clear that up.

I only buy stuff from Fry's online for store pickup. The only time they fucked up it actually got me a sweet deal.

I'd bought one Klipsch home theater subwoofer using their promo codes for around 150 if I remember right. Not an audiophile sub by any means but list was around 400 when they were new. They still sold for 299 or so but they had sold the same model for a few years and were closing them out.

This time the promo code was for a few bucks less than last time. Ordered it online and a girl from the store called me and said they only had the display model left and I could have it for half of what it was supposed to be.

I was nearby and went and picked it up.

Moral of my long boring story, make them find it for you and save your time.

I hear you. Most of these store are a waste time these day. Stuff is too damn complicated and diverse to keep track of and display. Order and pickup is the only thing that works. I don't see the Fry store here surviving the year. Way too hard to find shit and the people that work there are just not up to it.

Even the specialty stores are in trouble with the tech help. The Verizon store here probably better help you with when to wear an eyebrow ring vs a left nose pin, vs a tongue ring. But she is in deep doo doo with an 750mhz antenna vs a 1900 for UML290 USB modem.

Same mall complex, has a Raiders store. Wife liked a specific jacket they didn't have the size size she wanted. Wife asked the girl if she could order it...girl got an attitude and said my wife would have to go on their website. 3 minutes later I'd ordered it on Amazon and we left. Fuckem

I got the bright idea of using one of my TV antennas to help with the weak 4G LTE signal here in the boat harbor. Usually only the short bar for reception quality. The UHF antenna should work well, at least better than the little stick I have now, but it don't. Then I read about it and find it has the Cell phone channels blocked to cut down noise on the TV. Shit! But I found a wide beam Yagi! That just might do the trick for a bunch of stuff. Perhaps with a little Penicillin. Might have it to try by the time I get up in the Columbia.

No. Going in the shipyard this week for bottom paint. Then work up the coast a couple hundred miles and head out to sea to get around the south winds of the NE pacific high. Hope to be back in the Columbia before the end of May.

Ha! Yep! These bugger do not get it. Amazon is just blowing most of these box stores away. Walmart is catching on though. You can order from them online, better than most stores and pick it up locally at the pickup check out. Pay no shipping.

    Are you a Raiders Fan?
Do you remember the name of a Raider Wide receiver, Hernandez? Had one of those catchy names like Marvelous Marvin Hernandez or something?

If they want to compete they HAVE to stock things. I'll buy things and pay more if I can get it right away. If not I'm ordering from the cheapest place I can find.

That usually runs in May. I decided not to do those because I do not like the new requirements they added.
One of which is $500K liability insurance which is rather costly compared to the 300 I normally carry. Really stupid too since I would be out side the coverage area of the insurance most of the time. And their silly race rules do not apply outside the colregs line. The bottom line is that is what they require in Portland for Racers, so they think is should be kept for the ocean race too. But it is not the same and they don't want to hear it. The killer was training crew in classes to qualify for the race. A bunch of fees in play here. End of that story.

I was trying yesterday to think of his name. It was his dad that work at the lab where I did, that put me on to hiring a black kid. A marine that got his CS degree from UC Berkley. Years ago now. Oh man, he was a proud papa when his kid got on with the Raiders.
