Matts. The first mentions of his problems bought all of us to venture towards a lineup shakeup. I said 5th spot for him and Boone ignored me.

    You know what,
    What
While the Yankees were getting their asses kicked the 2nd place team swept a double hearer from Kansas City. Yep they sure did.
And they are in New York tonight. Per Alfred E. Neuman "What Me Worry"
Biggie is going to have to pitch a hell of a game tonight.
Jeter is snickering over how he slipped his high priced help to Cashman.

I really have issues with Tanaka. It is as if he gives in to the hitters instead of battling for the out.
I do not see an intensity to get the batter out. This staff from starters to relievers are a bunch of
mishmash hurlers. We are looking at a .500 staff....at best.

Stanton is getting raked over the coals for performance issues but there are others on this team who have not really come through since Spring Training. I don't know about anyone else but I'm disappointed in he performance of Drury, Wade, and Walker. Maybe after last night Andujar will start hitting and get on to what we hoped for. Gotta add Sanchez into that list as well. Given the injuries I'm suspect of the medical and training staff as well. And the staff has had far more failure than success. The Yankees now face a 20 game run with 6 probable contending teams. Pretty damn scary from what we've seen this year. Don't know what the "Brass" is doing about solving issues but they'd best come up with a timely solution.

did anyone see Jeter in the big house during any of these telecasts??? I've been curious, since all I got was bits and pieces of one game, while the highlights didn't show Jeter. If they did I missed them. I'm not sure why Jeter wouldn't come to NY-YS, to usher in his new-found team***... I'm sure the crowd would have a warm welcome for him. Then again what Yankee great in their right mind would want to rub elbows, or be seen in public with Trash & the kids.

    "A seperate suite please"

    ***
unless #2 knew he would catch the Wrath of the crowd 4 Stanton ?? That's Trashman's bad...
Derek was just doing his job...

From what I heard, Jeter felt that it would be "awkward" coming out to the stadium so though in NYC he skipped the game. And we all remember Jeter and Cashman had a set to prior to Jeters last contract. Cashman allegedly wanted Tulo. Just shows how dumb Cashman is. You don't treat an ICON like Jeter as you would a regular everyday ball player. I was hoping Jeter would get into the Yankee ownership group and show Cashman the door. Getting Stanton to the Yankees was a good stroke to eliminate some high price help. If Stanton does not work out, Cashman will have to deal with he (Stanton) and Ells bury both. Steinbrenner & Cashman, I have doubts if we'll ever see a championshipas long as those two are around.

^^^^ great stuff/insight Michael, always appreciated. I didn't have much of a clue where Jeter was, didn't even know he skipped out on the game, whoa nelly. Yeah, I remember Tulo coming to town during a DL stint to watch a game & be entertained. Thank God that one didn't work out, Tulo's done with, imo? stick a fork in him, damaged goods 4 too long now.

Brian reminds me of a gopher sticking his head out of a hole, same looks I'd see through a rifle/scope in the wheatfields of Ks...

Derek Jeter did some really great moves at the dish. But of all his accomplishments I think the hit that got to me the most was his final. Walk off single against Baltimore in his last Yankee Stadium Game. The Yankees had some great players in the late 90s and early 00's but Jeter stood alone as Mr. Yankee.

Kahnle and Cessa are taking the easy way out.......both are being placed on the DL
Tendenitis is the great equalizer for their shitty pitching performances!

I wonder what’s ailing the rest of this sorry pitching staff!

Good footage w/Donnie BB coming back to t/Bronx. Refers to Jeter as "He's the Boss now, kinda like George"...
