Last 6 games:10.8 PPG11.1 RPG2.1 SPGIt's nice to see Shelden Williams finally step it up, hopefully his recent play gives him confidence going into next season. We all know about his rebounding and shot blocking ability, but he's been scoring the ball well as of late. It would have been interesting to see what kind of numbers he would be putting up had Mike Woodson actually given him consistent minutes all season long.

I'm glad to see him contributing on the offensive end. He lacks alot of things on offense, and he doesn't play real smart on offense either. Of course you can throw some blame on Woodson because he starts Shelden then sits him on the bench for 30 minutes next game, and it screws everything up.. I just want to see him become a consistant rebounder and defender for us next season, that'll be very important because its something we lack.

Shelden will be a solid player, and he will be a nice part to Atlanta future. Like kingjamez said, he's exactly what they need (good rebounder, wide body, pretty good low post defender). They drafted him for that reason alone. Now, when his career is over, a lot of people will say "what a bust, 5th pick my ass," but he isn't expected to be a star. Atlanta drafted him on need alone, and it will help them in some ways.

I had no idea he has been putting up double-double numbers as of late though, good for him.

What's so suprising to me is, he's only had one game this season where he's had more than 2 blocked shots.

Shelden Williams and Sean May are good examples where common sense of who will be a good player prevails over media hype.

Yeah, he's going to be a good defensive player and rebounder, but I really don't see him making much of an impact on the offensive end...That's why I thought it was a questionable pick...I do understand, but the Hawks probably should have traded down to get a vet, and then pick Marcus WIlliams or Rajon Rondo around the 16th spot or so..

Good for Shelden. I loved this guy at Duke and he should be a nice piece for Atlanta in the future. I think they though Lorenzen Wright would contribute more than he has this season.

Players like Williams, and May might not have the greatest physical size as far as height, but they play good basketball. Williams is going to be a nice part of the Hawks this year. I think next year we are going to see him taking a much bigger role, anchoring this defense down low, grabbing rebounds and really helping this team out alot. Now all they need is to draft Conley this year, and they have their point guard for the future, and I believe the playoffs will be in sight for this team.

I have always been high on Shelden Williams. He is a good shot blocker, he is very tough on the glass, and although he is undersized, he still has a good aray of post moves. Although I think #5 might have been a little high for him, he is still turning it around as of late and having a decent rookie season. I have high hopes for the guy. He was definitely one of my favorite college players last year.

Keep in your minds that Shelden has been battling off a shoulder injury the whole season. When he fully heals, I expect a lot from him. That's if if ever 'fully' heals.
