That's the mindset I'm trying to adopt with this team. It'll make it even nicer when we get out of this hole, whether that's actually getting to contender status, or become a lottery team rebuilding with young players that give the city hope. Either situation is easier to deal with than this. It's the hardest struggle to be in a situation that our fanbase is in, given our history, and given the hope we had going into the postseason.

Basically, if you can handle the struggle now, everything will be fine in the future, because it can't get much worse than this. What's your mindset and attitude towards this?

I've felt this way since 1992. Someday it'll have been all worth it...

That's what I told myself last year after being emasculated by the Warriors.

I would rather be Sacramento than this.

I’d rather take it down to the foundation and build back up than stay in mediocre purgatory to be honest. 76ers lookin pretty good to me.

That isn’t an option unless you’re talking about trading both Dame and CJ. Dame is entering his peak years. No way is he going to be okay with a rebuild.

I don’t care about sacrificing years of being mediocre to keep ONE player happy. Is Dame an all-star? Yes. Is Dame a Superstar? No. He’s not Kobe. If I could get a top 5 pick for Dame THIS year and a top 10 for CJ while clearing out a couple bad contracts I’d do it in a second.

Well, go toss your application for GM into PA’s inbox. I’m sure he’ll be interested in your opinions.

High draft pick every year and never make playoffs? They would have an All Star team if they made the right picks in the draft.

I get your point. But at least, I would have no hope. I would know we are crap and that's it.

Mediocrity is the worst. You have hope, maybe passing 1st round, maybe Conf. finals. And you get swept then. Hurts man.

Rather be Sacremento but draft the right guys... Lol.

Eh, I'm not all that disappointed with this series loss.
Yeah it sucks, but the team overachieved and grabbed the 3rd seed.
When many believed Portland would be on the outside looking in.
Even people with in the organization thought that way.

Would have been better off not showing off and overachieving

No team has the room to clear out that much money.

Why jump off a building this year when you could jump off a cliff next year!

It can absolutely get worse than this. Ask Detroit fans if there are any. Look at the Sacramento Kings. There are others.

Kings fans don't get heartbroken though.

Detroit fans, I guess. They have no picks. But for us, I think this is rock bottom, whether we get better or worse.
