I guess if some are okay with losing 10 games in a row in the Playoffs, defend away. Givin the results of the last two years, we would have been about add well off to be in the Lottery.

16 fucking quarters. :-( WTF!? Nurk was consistently our second best player arguably all year. He struggled a bit in the first half offensively but his defense has always been there and in the second half of the season he's been nothing short of great. It took 16 quarters to realize that Nurk has a HUGE advantage on the offensive end of the floor when Mirotic is guarding him!? Shame on Coach Stotts. This is basketball 101 stuff.

It pissed me off how he treated Nurk one way, and CJ another. CJ fucked up way more all season yet didn’t get called out/benched ONCE. He was allowed to iso us out of games constantly. Meanwhile Nurkic makes a couple mistakes (god forbid a 23 year old make a mistake) and gets benched for the rest of the game. Get outta here with that double standard. Pop would’ve benched CJs ass five times by Christmas.

I agree 100% percent. Frankly, I'm surprised Nurk didn't lash out at times but he kept it super professional and never knocked the coach. He's a better man than me. Nurk was a super effective passer from the post last season, but this season he hasn't had nearly the same opportunities to make plays. He's already terrific but he can be so much more. We've seen it.

Zero discipline in the offense. Damian, CJ, Aminu, Turner regularly took poor shots that Stotts would label as good. We need to go to Nurk much more in the post. I'm okay to give Olshey another season. But, Stotts MUST GO! Let's go get Budenholzer now. I'd give up a 2nd for him.

Agreed. But I also don't believe he's part of the solution.

Why? He took 3rd place in the ultra competitive western conference with the 3rd youngest team in the league.

Another summer to bring in a legit 3&D SF and another year of maturity for Collins and Nurkic and we'll be contenders.

This team needs stability. We have nearly everything we need.

Do you know how many years in a row I've heard some version of this screed? We're right there! Just a little nudge and we'll get to the promised land! Let it bake!

10 playoff losses in a row. A mismatched roster. A very inconsistent Nurk, who might never be reliable. two guards that take turns pounding the air out the ball and are too small to consistently defend teams with larger guards. It's not all Stotts' fault, but he's not irreplaceable and I think his message has gotten stale.

    It's over.

lol what exactly has this version of stability gotten us?

And we got 3rd because of 13 games and injuries to other star players. We -were- a 3rd place team, but we -weren't- a 3rd place team.

So if Terry actually gets fired, this is my shortlist

    Budenholzer
    Messina

Both come from Pops tree. We’ve talked about Budenholzer but Messina would be a pretty out of the box hire. Dude is a legendary coach in Europe. Has coached, and won the EuroLeague in multiple countries. Coached the Italian national team. Knows how to handle different personalities and egos. If you want a brand of unselfish basketball, Messina should be near the top of your list. Quinn Snyder credits Messina for preparing him to be an NBA head coach.

A little intro to Messina. I chose this video because it’s something that we’ve struggled with lol.

Here’s a more general video of Messina’s philosophies. Ignore the shirt.

It’s not mentioned here but he’s also developed a reputation for developing post players. He would be very good for Nurkic.

This is something I've been asking for!

Basic principal for guarding the pick n roll with adjustments and flexibility schematically.

This dude speaks my language. This dude is talking about philosophies that I've been begging for us to get in a head coach.

    They're everywhere.

Apparently Chad Doing posted a Twitter poll. Had the options of Get rid of CJ, Neil, Terry or something else.

6% said get rid of Terry.

People were calling into the postgame show all last night saying that Terry was a great coach.

Meahwhile, overhere, you have at least 80% of posters that want him gone, and we're talking about schematic, play tendencies, and other detailed, complex issues that others don't see.

Proud of this board. We're the fcking smartiest.

I've known about this guy for a few years. But never really listened to him. Doesn't he sound like he'd bring a much better, and much more entertaining style of basketball to Rip City?

    Please fire Terry.
