Blazers have no decision making in whether Quick remains at NBCSNW so your post has little if any merit.
The post I originally responded to was that Quick will still be here and McCollum would be gone. Now you're changing the discussion.
I ain't changing shit. I said they need to get rid of CJ and they probably will (unless the blazers are stupid). So CJ will be gone and Quick will still be here.
He might be referring to some of the stuff CJ does to free himself off the ball on offense. He gave one of the Pelicans a nice shot in the chest/stomach in game 3 iirc, I laughed about it at the time. The dude was pissed. I've seen him do similar things before. CJ can be a little nasty sometimes for sure, but I wouldn't call him dirty.
Hypothetical: If by chance the Blazers pull Quick's access and credentials, what good is he to Comcast/NBC?
I've been getting the same vibe. Just seems smug and cocky now... his interview with Chris Haynes kind of painted him in a bad light.
Prettiest, or pettiest? I know Neil is a former soap opera actor, but I think you may be giving him too much credit here. BNM
and I think some of you project way to much of your own feelings rather than what the real feelings are which Jason Quick often does in his reportings.. By all accounts McCollum is a good teammate and a great locker room guy.
CJ has always had the ivy-league swagger. But I don't take it as him being cocky. Though that ivy-league swagger rubbed Aldridge the wrong way. That's for damn sure. Ya'll being snowflakes like Aldridge was.
Often times people perceive confidence as cockiness and sometimes it's a fine line. Westbrook and Kobe were cocky players with tons of confidence where as CJ and Lillard are very confident players. If you don't have confidence in yourself, you are less likely to reach your full potential. I have absolutely no problem with McCollums demeanor.
This was a bit funny at first, but honestly I don't really care for the over the top attitude here. I do not like Jason Quick at all, but I can't imagine Dame, or any other classy NBA player saying this. CJ was part of a team that just got shellacked in the first round by the away team. A bit of humility might be nice.
and on the flip side, McCollum and his team just came off an unexpected outcome in the series and a little leeway should have been given by Quick rather than attack while a player is down. I doubt I would have been as cordial as CJ. CJ also played his ass off in that final game that Quick attacked him on.
I'm not defending Quick. He was and has always been a tool. What he wrote was wrong on many levels. Maybe CJ was just responding out of frustration (something I have done and got zapped for in the past). But, I hope he really doesn't see himself as the Lion and others as sheep. Lebron is a lion, CJ isn't even a cub yet.
