Lol I doubt the celtics will lose out of the lottery because of Gomes. Probably just some talk on how it was inapropriate to say that and probabaly a fine or something.
Gomes honestly didn't say anything inappropriate..it was just dumb and I think he said it because the media was harrassing him about the topic of tanking or because he was mad at Doc for continuing to sit him in the 4th quarter..it was just how he saw it..he wasn't giving any "inside information" he didn't directly say "we're tanking" but it was pretty dumb

Gomes was probably just annoyed when he said that. It was a dumb thing to say, but I can understand where he's coming from. Stern is the guy that setup a system that rewards teams for tanking.

And that is why I like Woody, he always tells it like it is whether you agree with his opinions or not. The fact of the matter is, 9/10 people that actually work for ESPN and get on those TV shows don't even watch sports like they should. They are like those scrubs in high school that bullsh** their way through those AP classes by copying other people's work. They get A's and they get recognized for being good students (like people like Jay Mariotte get recognized for being on shows), yet they really don't know what they are talking about like they should.
