I haven't seen the Yanx in 6 yrs. Driving to Anaheim up until then was a yearly ritual. Haven't been down there since my buddy, passed away at age 70 from a fatal 1st time heart attack. He lived but 10 mins from the Big-A, met him as a kid in Ks, my neighbor there and t/proxy big brother I never had.

I miss those Yanx 3 game stands, but I'll never miss these fkd up freeways. Great thing having a buddy that close to the stadium. I could avoid the traffic by leaving here at 8pm for a 2 hr drive, and staying for the 3 days/nights. Then choosing the time to drive, knowing I always had a place to land, but a stones throw from the stadium.

Oh well, Old age doesn't last very long...

a typical bad day on the L.A. Freeways-
Note the brown smog air in the background. This pic was not touched up, an actual L.A. News photo...!!

Remember those freeways s from the time I lived in San Diego and was stationed at Sen Pedro. Traffic was not as bas then but the smog was. Yankees need a win today, when Sevey & Tank pitch the team needs wins on those days. CC & Jmo are about a 1/2 step down, then we have Sunny. Actually surprised that Holder has had consecutive appearances of three up/down. I hope the Brass is trying to improve the pitching.

Tonight the Yankees face 29 year old Garrett Richards who in his last
outing had 11 Ks in 6 innings. Aaron Judge, just what you don’t need......you have
to get out of your K slump.
The upcoming schedule ( Angels, Astros, Indians, Red Sox ) will be a huge test for
this Yankee pitching staff, and the hitters will face some tough pitching. For the next
two weeks the Yankees will be tested.

Leave it to umpire Angel Hernandez to fuck up again. Angel right fielder, Calhoun, robs Neil Walker
of HR. Stanton on 2nd, tagged up after the catch. Hernandez has a habit of turning an easy play into
a catastrophe. He called Stanton out, not because he left too soon, but because he was off the base........
When I see mistakes like this, I know Mr.Hernandez is somewhere in the vicinity!

How many times does this guy create havoc with his bad decision making? He is clearly
one of the worst umpires I have seen. MLB would do a great service to the game if they
reward this guy an early retirement.

As noted last night by Vic, & just prior by Cage, here's clear-cut evidence Giancarlo was on second when the catch was made. The BS call made by Fox Sports West HOMERS utterly pathetic!!

Just found out hat Austin started his suspension last night. Sure hope Walker can find his bat. Saw

You might be thinking of the Dewayne Wise catch to save Mark Buehrles perfecto in '09. That was pretty much the turning point for Tampa with their elevator going down afterward.

I hate to say it- A-Roid, Pete Rose, even Mr Rogers or Big Bird are upgrades over Rojas, Gubicza & Mota...
FSW calls games worse than these flaky Umps.
No creedence with LA sports since Torre left, Scully's retiring & t/passing of Chick Hearn...

Charlie Steiner's pretty good tho' t/Bums suck, & Rick Monday's as fkd up as Suckcliffe...

The Tampa Team beat the shit out of the Bostons today. Old Price has not done to well against his former team. Two in a row for Tampa in Fenway pretty cool. Yaks got to get a W to close the gap.

When this game hands you a gift, you had better take advantage and capitalize. Yankees need
to do just that tonight. Tanaka needs to be sharp. Only question is.....Will he?
