Basically we'd have to have a team that dumping a contract was worth giving up a late lottery pick and then find a 2nd team that would want that pick and ours to move down a few spots. It may be possible but would cost Allen a crapload of money in both salary and taxes next year.
Turner/Layman for Batum along with 24/TPE for MKG/11, then Harkless/11 for Lee/9? Or alternate version: Turner/Harkless/Layman/24 for Batum/MKG/11 , then TPE/11 for Lee/9?
Yeah, something along those lines. Holy crap would that be expensive though. I'm guessing in a rebuild Charlotte probably won't give up 11 but you're on the right track.
Well if we are dealing CJ, we could probably get in the 8-10 range to just draft Bridges. The question was how can we add Bridges while keeping Dame, CJ, Collins, and Nurk.
I have always felt that you select the best player available especially as late as we are picking. If two players are basically equal then the tie breaker should be of need. You want to get the best asset available.
I was hoping OG would drop to us at 26 because of the injury allowing us to get both a big and a wing with big defensive potential.
Me, too. In fact, I was enjoying every team not drafting OG until the raptors drafted him 3 picks before we could have got him. Almost made it!
This team desperately needs more rookies. Caleb Swanson and Zach Collins were such a huge part of our team last season. I can't wait to add another rookie to sit at the end of our bench and learn from Meyers how to celebrate a three pointer. Terry looooooves playing rookies!
