Only thing I have to say, is Big Al not even getting a vote for MIP is completely horseshit. Big Al definitely deserves consideration, moreso than quite a few of those guys listed.
My thoughts? It's laughable and friggen ridiculous that Al Jefferson didn't even get 1 vote for Most Improved. Is that a joke? I agree with Martin winning it, but give me a break.EDIT: I also believe Shane Battier should win Defensive Player of the Year and Jerry Sloan should win Coach of the Year.
What about Executive of the year, Colangelo should sweep that ....Go Smitch! I still would give Nash the edge over Dirk, people say they give Dirk the edge because his team's record is better, but the Mavs are only 5 games ontop of the Suns, Ontop of that, Nash averages a double-double, while Dirk doesn't. Nash also shoots better from 3 and from the field. Dirk also doesn't rebound well for his position. How can Dirk be a superstar player when he averages as much rebounds as Jason Kidd?
a few complaints- Sam Mitchell is not coach of the year...Colangelo is Executive of the year..Mitchell was thrown a good team..he's a bad coach and his previous seasons prove that-Al Jefferson not one single vote for MIP? Okafor? Barbosa? both made small improvements from last year..what a joke..it makes everything on this list voided...awful- More votes for Battier and Bowen for DPOY

You saw Andrea Bargnani at the beginning of the season. In previous years, Sam Mitchell was forced to start players like Matt Bonner and Rafael Araujo in the front court, dirt on the ground could have played better for him. Also, Colangelo brought in 9 new faces, 7 I believe are European, meaning he had to coach them to playing NBA ball. Also, Mitchell was key in Chris Bosh's development, Chris started out averaging 11 points and 7 rebounds a game as a rookie, he now averages 22 and 10.

To me, nobody else should even get a vote for that. Colangelo has done such a great job bringing in true team players. Parker and Garbajosa were GREAT pick-ups, and that T.J. Ford deal was beautiful.
Wow - how can Antonio McDyess not even get a mention in 6th man. The guy is putting up some amazing numbers for a guy on the bench. He's always consistent with his production - thats BS.

He is a fake 6th man. He is really a starter wearing a 6th man's shoes. He comes in the game around 9:00 minute mark.
I can't complain about anything there except that it's stupid to have Sam Mitchell ahead of Sloan and Avery. Most of the credit can go to Colangelo while Mitchell finishes somewhere between 3-5 for that award.
Sam Mitchell...coach of the year....you've got to be kidding me.... :no1: If Steve Nash doesn't win MVP, it's pure media hypocracy.

Come on. Battier hasn't had a better defensive season than Marcus and why would you want to rob Camby again? I can see him being in the top 3, but definitely not winning it.
Well, the Smitch did have to start the season off with 9 NEW PLAYERS, and most of them didn't even speak english as thier first language.

We just think one measely vote is pathetic from "experts" for a defender like Battier [and Bowen for me].
