Well the old way had been tried many times with 0 success. I think it was more the effective enforcement of sanctions and the heavy military presence that forced Un's hand, not the tweets so much.

...yup, but sadly there are still those who blindly defend him no matter what he does or says while blaming him for nothing and giving him credit for everything...it's almost laughable, well almost.
...and I have no idea why anyone with even a modicum of cognitive thinking would truly believe N Korea will completely eliminate nukes...when has that country ever kept it's promises? Just because they say they'll stop testing and making more warheads, does not mean there's not already many missiles and/or warheads hidden underground and that would not surprise me at all. The fissionable material used in warheads remains useful for hundreds of years...only the detonators need to be replaced every 12 years or so.
...no signed agreement will keep N. Korea from launching a nuclear attack in the future.

I don't think that deal is working as intended. I'll trust Israel more than CNN/the MSM to be a good judge of what makes that area safer.

    on all counts, ...

there is no way the NORKs are going to eliminate their entire nuke program; as you stated:
"when has that country ever kept it's promises? Just because they say they'll stop testing and making more warheads, does not mean there's not already many missiles and/or warheads hidden underground and that would not surprise me at all"

In fact they do have underground facilities, from- enrichment labs, manufacturing of warheads and IBMs/ICBM's, too launch platforms; and launch pads.

I wouldn't be surprised if all Trumpixon wants out of this is not a cessation of Nuke Programs, but rather a Trump Tower with his name emblazoned across it, towering above the Pyongyang skyline...

Well the fact that South and North Koreans will be in each other's presence again and are finally at peace is a Yuge win no matter how you slice it.

No more test missiles from Rocket Man sailing over Japan. Again Yuge.

I couldn't care less if Trump has an ego about it, I just want someone in the office who gets things done for a change, and that he does.

^^^Matts, I'm just waiting for someone to explain to me why they should think that some sort of treaty with N Korea will be guaranteed/verified ?

...Trump really has not accomplished anything at this point that he can hang his hat on...Obama care repeal?...No...Tax reform?...it's a fucking joke. (big discounts for corporations and the rich, mediocre discounts for the middle class, while grossly adding to the deficit) (Oh well, our children can deal with that, right?)
...and again, this country is probably more divided now since the Civil War....all because of the bombastic ass hat who was only elected because he was the only candidate NOT named Hillary fucking Clinton.

Hitler, Mao and Stalin got things done too.
If Trump could erase the Constitution he would.

Most German's and many pre-WWII Europeans bought into Hitler's plans; (less Chancellor Hindenburg, and Winston Churchill, while 50% of t/British Parliament backed Hitler in the mid-1930's); even the Vatican loved and blessed his agendaes, before he revealed his true hand....

"He's the best potus in my lifetime" = equates too utilizing t/ 'ignore' feature...

there's no point in trying to talk sense into one who is set in their mind. Guess the facts aren't enough to enlighten some who refuse to upgrade their own warped belief system/agendaes, which Trumpixon created, giving life to his zealous supporters with a campagin of fear, anger, lies and loathing...

I don't see any difference b/t worshipping a NORK demigod, or an American demigod...

every moment one proclaims how great Trumpixon is, a fool is born every second.

exactly, I couldn't of stated it better.

I really doubt there will ever be any Legitimate verification, without Trumps puppets creating and/or buying into a false story, which paints and has given rise to t/NORK Demigod in the same fashion Trump & his mindless supporters have created their own demigod. This is so similar to Hussein's WMD. When UN inspectors went in to verify sites, they'd found empty facilities, while Iraq had moved what little arsenal they had. Nukes were never really in question and the USA knew it.

Why trust t/NORK regime's word, or a crazed power hungry monster potus who diverts truths, to replace with his own twisted lies? He fits the bill of a power hungry fool...as does his puppet followers.

    https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/01/donald-trump-lies-liar-effect-brain-214658

excerpts: (those who don't want to learn will never learn)

Trump has completely duped his supporters, and even now after they have finally figured out they have been duped they cheer him on. The more Trump lies to them the more they support him. The more he continues to degrade the presidency with dangerous uninformed political remarks, childish tweets and goofy conspiracy theories he picks up on Fox "News," the more his followers praise him.

Time after time, Trump has displayed a mindset more fitting of a corrupt banana republic despot rather than a patriotic American president. He has consistently exhibited a profound contempt for the principles of American democracy. And by supporting him, his base exhibits that same contempt.

Trump is the most unpopular president in the history of modern polling. But the polls aren't just a referendum on Trump. The polls are also a referendum on the people who refuse to hold him to even a minimal standard of accountability.

I could do this all day long, but refuse to try and enlighten to one who panders to the illusion of Trump. I'm wasting my time. Similar to trying to teach a 2 yr old how to speak more than one language, and expect results over-night; results that never materialize over a lifetime.

Bottom line, when one says of- 'The Dunning-Kruger Effect': 'it's a soft science, or biased', then I might as well be talking to a Mule, as if the Mule can talk and rationalize with truthful logic in lieu of brainwashed rhetoric...Trump supporters are wishful mirrors of their leader, as were Hitler's supporters...

(like a skipping record) time to switchout records...
(On Being Ignorant of One's Own Ignorance)
Dunning-Kruger Effect is a cognitive bias whereby people who are incompetent at something are unable to recognize their own incompetence. And not only do they fail to recognize their incompetence, they’re also likely to feel confident that they actually are competent.

How about the stock market? People's 401ks are on fire. How about new job creation and on-shoring of new factories? Part of that is due to the corporate tax cuts, part due to all the regulations that have been removed. Unemployment numbers?

Let's see, we're also out of the TPP, and while there is no wall yet, we have the national guard deployed and it's not like he hasn't tried - after the 2018 elections I think he'll be able to get real funding through congress.

And I don't think he's responsible for the division at all. And this is very important. The Democrats want to reduce voting to your identity, while changing the demographics of the country to pump in new voters - all on the taxpayer's dime. It's the liberal policies that require the division to support, that's where it's coming from, and it started and grew massively under Obama. The MSM outlets are complicit in this as they are 90% in the pockets of the Dems, so they pump divisive stories. It's a shame but I do think many of those outlets like CNN are losing credibility daily.

Well you haven't refuted any of his accomplishments, and I think the media has made you take a view of him that's distorted. I think in time he'll win even you over, he's that good.

...Matts, I can vainly try to explain simple facts and concepts to blind sheep but unfortunately, I cannot understand it for them.

...I also find it grossly myopic for people to arbitrarily lambaste certain news outlets, but predictably, only when those outlets don't support their narrative, while at the same time conversely viewing other sources/programs like Fox and Friends as completely factual and unbiased........"Sieg Heil".

    ...hypocrisy personified.

...but like you alluded to, "don't waste your time".

I don't think Fox is clean, but they're at least closer to the center than so many of the other MSM outlets.

I think the pattern of the media being literally owned by the Liberals is an easy one to see, and its bad for everyone to no longer have a free press. What we have now amounts to deep state mouthpieces trying hard to advance globalism and radical demographic changes for the US, all in order to secure future Liberal votes.

Look at Frannce, the UK, and Sweden, poor Sweden - that's not the future I want for this country. It is the future Hillary wanted, and the one that outlets like CNN/NBC/ABC/CBS/etc shill for, non-stop. Scary stuff, it's getting to be like 1984.

So when Fox takes advantage and provides news that most people actually want, it should be no surprise. The culture will start to come around as people realize there's a lot of money to be made from conservative customers, that constantly being divisive will only lead to a loss of $$. Ask the NFL for example.

I love when right wing people say how the media controls this and that, if thats the case..and since the "majority" of the nation has become republican ..why dont they have more popular news outlets other than fox? Hell Trump could have his own network instead of using twitter as his mouth piece.

Because there is a small group of people who own most every media outlet, and their $$ long term is on globalism. Are you really telling me you sense fairness from the MSM right now? They never cover anything positive he's done, have been obsessed with a completely phony Russia narrative, and are more interested in a porn star than peace in the Koreas. They're a disgrace.

It's been talked about actually, a Trump network, I wouldn't mind, his sons could get his off the ground very effectively.

Some would say that Fox is the disgrace so now what. And as usual a Trump fan misses the point about the porn star but that is what you guys do misdirection.
If Russia is a phony narrative, let's see president twitters tax returns so we see that he has no involvement with Russian organizations. Any Russian bank accounts? Foreign Income is a big topic when it comes to who this country may or may not put a tax tariff.

Al, Trump doesn't want his tax records seen for a very good reason, because he has something to hide...and sorry but he's been claiming for over 2 years now that it's because he's "under audit" which is total BS because it does not take 2 fucking years to complete an audit, not to mention that nothing restricts him from releasing his records while under audit.
...and you're right about "misdirection", that's exactly what him and his sheep do...ask them a legit question and they'll either claim "fake news" or bring up Hillary fucking Clinton, as if she's still relevant. And he's also trying political gymnastics to misdirect attention away from his adulterous past with porn stars and others.
...and oh, when was the last time Fox second guessed anything Führer Trump has done or said?
