Since the season is over, it's an appropriate time to discuss what each Celtic needs to work on this summer, in your opinion.

    Paul Pierce
    - Just get healthy and come back in good shape, ready to go.

    Al Jefferson
    - Low-post defense.
    - Add a little upper-body muscle, not much though.
    - Continue to add consistency, and maybe some range, on that short jumper.
    - Work on going left a bit more.

    Wally Szczerbiak
    - Rest, get healthy, and be ready to go next season.

    Delonte West
    - Use your right hand! Tie your left hand behind your back and use your right hand.
    - 1-on-1 perimeter defense.
    - Learn to take all open shots, don't hesitate. You aren't a point guard.

    Tony Allen
    - Rehab steadily, work hard, and come back strong, young fella. We need you.
    - Work on jump shot.

    Rajon Rondo
    - 1,000 shots a day, my friend. 1,000 shots a day.

    Gerald Green
    - Get stronger, but don't add too much weight (Gerald said he wanted to get up to about 230 lbs., that would be a mistake). Add 10-12 lbs.
    - Work on everything having to do with defense.
    - Work on ball handling.
    - Stay aggressive at all times.
    - Learn to pick your spots. Gerald needs the learn when the shot is there, and when it isn't.

    Kendrick Perkins
    - Lose about 15 lbs.
    - Work on post game.
    - Don't over-do it, make sure that foot is alright.

    Ryan Gomes
    - Do not speak to anybody involved with the media until May 23rd.
    - Work on that 3-point shot and develop consistency with it.
    - Work on ball handling.
    - Work on agility and quickness, to be able to defend most NBA SF's.

    Leon Powe
    - Improve footwork immensely.
    - Relax. Continue to go up strong, but with a much softer touch.
    - Work on 10-12 foot jumper.

    Sebastian Telfair
    - Everything. It's time to get your act together, NOW.

    Brian Scalabrine
    - Try to move down to a B-cup.
    - Continue to gain consistency in that jumper.
    - Enjoy your wife and your new baby girl.

    Theo Ratliff
    - Get healthy.
    - Make sure that giant contract of yours gets packaged in a deal to bring something nice to Boston.

    Allan Ray
    - Everything that doesn't have to do with shooting the ball.

    Michael Olowokandi
    - Oh, you're still in the league? Good luck getting on someone else's roster.

    Doc Rivers
    - If the organization offers you a contract extension, "just say no."

    Danny Ainge
    - Improve this team, bring in a veteran or two, and deal some of the young guys.
    - Do not give Doc Rivers a contract extension.

Anything you'd like to add and/or comment on?

No, spots. Spots on the floor. He never knows where his shots are or if he's in good enough position for a shot.

Pretty much agree with everything CB32, although remember what Doc said about Kandi Man? He has suppsoveily been really professional and a great locker room presence? I could see the Celts pickin him up again to warm the bench and just be a big body to work with in practice.

Yeah, I guess that's not totally out of the question, but I doubt O comes back next year. We have 15 players on our roster right now, plus our 1st round pick (guaranteed top 5) and the 32nd pick in the draft. Now, I believe that we can get a better player at 32 than Allan Ray or Michael Olowokandi. Yes, I'm expecting a trade or two, which could also free up a spot, but I don't know if I see the big fella back here. Then we also don't know what is going on with Sebastian Telfair. I'm sure they'll explore trades and try to use his $2.5M (or whatever it is) to help match up salaries in a trade before they just flat out cut him. So it really depends on how many spots are left open. I don't see Allan Ray being here next year, due to the fact that the 32nd pick will be a better player than him, and I'm not so sure the big fella will be here either.

Don't get me wrong, he's not a bad 3rd center, but I think he would be better off going to a contender. Why? The same reason Dale Davis is in Detroit. Some teams will want that extra big man to come in and bang their body around and use up their fouls wisely when they go up against guys like Shaq, Duncan, Amare, etc. I think that's the ideal situation for him, and I think a team like San Antonio or Phoenix could use him. Maybe even Detroit, if Dale Davis retires. We'll see, but I think it's more likely we let him go than retain him.
