You reckon we are the team that promised him that we would take him?

He can play next to Sexton I think and they really need to take the best player they can with the way that roster looks now. They would do well to get a good, long 3 but they aren’t going to have Porter fall to them and taking Miles Bridges or Kevin Knox at 9 would be a reach. Maybe Mikal Bridges then but then I am sure 76ers won’t take Sexton even if he’s the best player available, that would have Sexton fall to Charlotte or even LA.

There was a guy (who really seems to kbow his stuff) in the REALGM draft forum who said he knew the team. He states it was Hutchinson's home team.... growing up in SoCal, that would mean it's the Lakers

    Yes.

Btw Porter Jr is also repped by Bartelstein. Just in case we want to dream big.

I think Atlanta is gonna take Bamba at 3, just a gut feeling.

Or the Clippers, if they promises him at 13 it might make sense why he'd back out of everything else.

Bates-Diop is intriguing from a length perspective. Having a small forward with a 7'3"+ wingspan could be useful.

That just doesn't add up though as they have Ingram, Kuzma and reportedly going after either one or both of Paul George and LeBron. That would put Hutchinson way down the pecking order.

He was my darkhorse at the end of the NCAA season as was Hutchinson. It would be nice to get them both in at the same time to workout. I'm a little disappointed that Hutchinson backed out of the combine and will be really disappointed if he doesn't do team workouts. I want players who are willing to compete and fight for a higher draft slot rather than settle for mid 20's.

He would fit in better with Collins than Bagley but Bagley seems like he has bigger upside.

I don’t think anyone will take him in the lottery.

Other than it would be a huge reach at 13, it would make sense why he would pull out if he is promised that high. The laker interest just doesn't make sense for the lakers or Hutchinson.

He did have pretty small hands (for being that long) though at 8.5".

The whole situation doesn't make sense. He's either trying to hide something or his agent is trying to drum up interest with a fake ploy.

I remember Jerome Kersey reportedly had small hands for his frame. His length in Bates-Diop hand is pretty good though. His body fat is also very good.

I wish the NBA would implement a rule that requires all eligible players to at least show up for the measurements and interview process. It seems that would be easy to implement even if they are injured and can't participate.

One of my many sources with the league told me that Mo Bamba has a 7'9" reach, but an 8'8" reach in shoes! #TheMoreYouKnow

People are always exaggerating their measurements to Mrs HCP.

Really though he had an incredible 9'7.5" reach with a 7'10" wingspan! That is pretty crazy.
