OT Attorney: Bucks' Sterling Brown to sue Milwaukee Police Department

If it turns out these guys were abusing their power, and using their power to abuse random citizens, the sooner they are off of patrolling the streets, the better off we'll all be. Need to continue to thin the herd of the bad seeds. I've had a few run-ins with dick head abusive cops in my day (never tazed, thank god). Guys like that give all cops a bad rep.

 

Actually, I don't want to see a video of an innocent, non-combative man being tazed, but I'm glad the video exists. It will insure the assholes responsible are held accountable.

I mean how fucking arrogant are these assholes? The video was shot with a body cam and I'm guessing it wasn't Brown wearing the camera. That means one of these assholes filmed himself doing this, and it didn't stop him from assaulting an innocent man. On top of being a total piece of shit as a human being, he's also either dumb as shit, or super arrogant to think he'd get away with it. Most likely, both.

This is where we differ.

I don't want to see it either but, as hard as it is, I force myself watch things like this. I show my son these things without sugar coating to have a constant reminder of what could happen to us simply because we're black.

 

Does this mean (in increasing order)

1. relieved of street duty and given a 2-week suspension (paid vacation)?

2. fired and hired by the adjacent police district?

3. tried by a grand jury (only the D.A. presents evidence, so the outcome is what he wants, but the D.A. gets cover by forming a grand jury [secret, with no audience allowed])?

4. brought to trial, a top defense lawyer funded by the police union (which inserts an infiltrator into the jury, as they did in the Oregon case a year ago), found not guilty, and rehired by his police force?

5. brought to trial, found guilty, and given a sentence a tenth as long as you or I would get?

 

I get the feeling the tide is turning and the administration will take some kind of swift punitive action. I think the days of Option 1 are over, at least in this case. Option 2 is the only one I'm sure of. Some red neck jurisdiction that can't attract decent applicants will hire them.

 

When something happens in South Central Las Angeles, nothing happens...

Racism has got to stop if we want to live peacefully. We see it prevalently in situations regarding law enforcement.

So it takes 10 cops to give a guy a parking ticket?

 

Every one of those fucks involved in the take down should be suspended IMO. The guy who assaulted him with a dangerous weapon (a taser) should obviously be fired, and possibly jailed.

 

Oh, yeah...and tased.
