Trump found out that Singapore is the only place in the world without a McDonalds.

    Our nuclear weapons are good.

But you Americans are so much better.

Our Korean nukes so little and small.

But you Americans so big, and strong.

At work, if I have a meeting with someone and I'm not at all prepared and am just being super lazy, I'll cancel the meeting and tell them to e-mail me answers to some questions I made up on the spot instead.

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/24/asia/north-korea-donald-trump-summit-intl/index.html

North Korea says Kim Jong Un is still willing to meet Donald Trump "at any time," despite the US President's abrupt cancellation of what would have been a historic summit between the two leaders, scheduled for June 12.

Kim Kye Gwan, a top official at North Korea's Foreign Ministry, said Trump's decision to cancel the talks ran counter to the global community's wishes for peace on the Korean Peninsula.
"We would like to make known to the US side once again that we have the intent to sit with the US side to solve problem(s) regardless of ways at any time," said Kim in comments published Friday by the country's state-run news agency KCNA.
Kim said President Trump's decision is "not consistent with the desire of humankind for peace and stability in the world, to say nothing of those in the Korean Peninsula."

All joking aside, my speculation here is that Kim has been jerking Trump around a bit lately, probably due to the Iran deal. Trump was worried that Kim was going to pull out or worse, appear to be running the show, so Trump cancels first. The same mentality as when you think your date is going to cancel on you so you drop her first. Problem here is that I think Kim really wants peace and a prosperous country, so I think he will just keep working with China and South Korea and leave Trump out of it, which is probably best for everyone.

Yeah Kim sure does want peace and a prosperous country. You know, the labor camps, having his half brother and uncle killed. The whole country of North Korea is a starving country and the people are brainwashed but yes he is most definitely for peace and a prosperous country. Jesus christ

All those issues were there long before Kim was even born. What do you think would have happened to him if he just opened the doors, Ill give you a hint it rhymes with bassinaton? At the very least he would have lost all credibility within his own government. This type of thing is a long process. The assignations of his brother and uncle are most likely internal power struggles. All issues not related to international relations.

I say he wants peace and prosperity because he went to school in Switzerland and has seen the world. He knows his country is the laughing stock of the world, he also knows that his best shot at being "immortalized" is to push NK into the 21st century and make them an economic powerhouse, much like SK and Japan.

If he wanted peace and prosperity he would of cut the shit as soon as he came into power there. He didn’t. He continued the threats to America and running the country the same way his father did. I will believe it when I see it.

"cutting the shit out" would appear to be weak. Slowly cutting the shit out would just shift the normal.

I would think he would like to keep that position and not free his people essentially. That place is weird as fuck. The stuff the people are brainwashed about, it’s just a crazy place. There is no way he gives it up. That power is too much unfortunately. I did like seeing him and the South Korean leader have that moment. Gave me a bit of hope. Still though, I doubt he really lets his people live freely
