Raptors are on a 9-2 run. I said to myself at the beginning of the game and I was wondering how the Nets were beating us and we were leading in almost every category. I then looked at the assists when we were down by 10. 16-5 for New Jersey. Raptors then go on a 9-2 run. I look at the assists again, 16-9.
wow...could somebody find the stat on how many points NJN score when Bosh is on the bench?Bosh being on the bench is really killing them
Bosh in foul trouble is really hurting Toronto right now. New Jersey just ended the quarter on a 7-0 run and have a 10pt lead at half time. Pretty good game, but nothing amazing happening.. yet. I can honestly see the Nets running away with this one soon if Bosh doesn't get in and get going.
Nets are controlling the game right now. The big three for New Jersey is making a matchup nightmare for Toronto. Bosh in foul trouble is slowing down the Raps offense tremendousely and the Raps have had a very streaky performance so far. The in-experience for Toronto is showing.
What a first half for New Jersey. Jason Kidd has been absolutely phenomenal, the man is an unbelievable basketball player. He's finding everybody, pushing the ball, and hitting all the open shooters and wings on the break. I know he has done this every game for his entire career, but 10 or 11 assists at halftime? Christ. RJ has been great as well, obviously. Apparently his ankle is feeling fine, because he's throwing down reverse dunks like nothing and running the break very well. Vince needs to get something going in the 2nd half if they want to hold on to the lead. T.J. Ford had an outstanding 1st quarter, wow. His blazing speed was too much for New Jersey and he was really stroking that 12 foot jumper. He cooled off in the 2nd quarter, but hopefully he can get something going again. Having Bosh out of the lineup killed Toronto, the Nets took over from there. It's only a 10 point game, it's anybody's ballgame, I hope Toronto has a better 2nd half. However, I expect Vince to get something going at some point. We'll see. On a side note: at Mike Tereko for calling Vince Carter "Vinsane." It's "Vinsanity" you dope, it's amazing how many of these guys honestly don't know the little things like this.
New Jersey is trying to pull away but every time they do the Raps comeback with a huge three ball. Toronto doesn't shape up soon and make a run this one could be over in a hurry.
Toronto now has one last chance to make a run in the 4th. I don't think they're going to pull it out, seeing as the jumpshot has been painfully inconsistent and Chris Bosh has been getting minuscule touches.

The run is starting, and they're within 4. This team needs to continue playing efficiently, and should TJ Ford come in, he needs to play unselfishly and stop dribbling the ball so damn much. The momentum has swung. Go Raptors!
Great comeback by Toronto, they keep on shutting the Nets offense down they can take this one. Vince Carter needs to get going for New Jersey, RJ and Kidd have done more then enough but they need another teammate to step up.
What a run by Toronto! Bosh is finally being aggressive again and the Raptors have really taken advantage of the momentum they have with this roaring crowd. This has been a hell of a game, I hope Toronto can solidify this comeback and take the lead.
This crowd is going crazy. Calderon is really stepping up his game, hes making threes, and hes the one that drove and dished it to humphries for the dunk. He is definitely the game changing performance.
I love the Toronto crowd, they are so into this game. Jose Calderon is playing great, he just brought Toronto back into this game.
This is driving me crazy. I dont know whats going to happen or when... everyone steps up at a different time.
The question I'm surprised no one has asked: What is NJ doing? Why are they running their offense through a neanderthal Vince Carter? Carter is taking them out of the game with his terrible shot selection, whereas Jason Kidd's touch has been put out. If NJ loses, a big part of that is on the coaching staff and some terrible leadership from their superstars.
Looks like New Jersey won this one...This is going to be one hell of a series.

QUOTE (RaptorFan#1 @ Apr 21 2007, 02:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

NJ got it. Damn it was close.
Yeah, it was a very good game. Very exciting, a lot of great runs by both teams, and both teams played very hard. Toronto just made a couple bad mistakes. The first big mistake was when Joey Graham bobbled that pass, which resulted in a turnover and a momentum crusher, and then when Toronto made that big stop and then let Mikki Moore grab the offensive rebound. Oh well, let's hope they can bounce back, win Game 2, and go into New Jersey tied 1-1.
Yep, not surprised one bit. IMO, it was pretty obvious NJ had the upper hand coming in with a ton more playoff experience in the past couple years. They've always caused us havoc in the first round.
