Do they make you stand for the national anthem at work?

If they did, it would then be my choice to do so, accept the consequences for non-compliance, or find another job.

Somehow I don't think that would fly legally.

The NBA has made it fly, legally, for a few decades now.

They have the option to stay in the tunnel.. how is that being forced to stand for anthem?! And btw, most corporations have worse policies than asking you to stand for the flag of the country you live in... and whether you agree with them or not, you do it if you want to keep your job!

Why do you care more about this than their message though?

I don’t... I just think millionaire athletes have many more platforms to convey there message... I don’t want politics in sports... it’s supposed to be a place to escape that unites fans...

Fired and fined are two different things.. And the NBA is able to because of the work they do in the community and they have their players backs... the NFL isn't like that.

Where did I say anything about being fired? I said comply, accept consequences (ie, a fine), or leave willingly.

You don't watch the NFL for the Anthem (you don't stand in your fucking house nor do you get out of the beer line when it's played),
So if you don't like the kneeling, just IGNORE it like you're doing the racism and police brutality that they are protesting.

    Simple.

I said he knelt regarding abortion. He was a staunch anti-abortion advocate and he kneeled to pray his Christian values every time. Gloss over this if you want. He had a whole fucking anti abortion ad.

And to all you MFs (@Gronk Brady) complaining about protesting at work, where were you when Anti-Gay Kim Davis was protesting at work by not giving marriage certificates to gay couples? You were probably quiet as a rat pissin' on cotton.

Did she have a right to protests in the job????

Ah, ok. YOU said it, not him. You said he was protesting. In reality though, you are assuming, and stating it as fact

I can't speak for anyone else, but I personally said the same thing about that that I say about this. If a person's employer puts expectations on you during your time on the job--unless those expectations are outside of what is permissible by law--that person's choice is to comply, to defy and accept the consequences, or to find another job.

I also didn't think that Davis' "freedom of religion" argument was valid in the slightest.

MF follows forum rules as not an insult. Hell, I've fucked my fair share of mothers. You?

    It's a term of endearment.

And I'm pretty tired of you tryna paint me as some angry black man. It's clear you're the one that's more angry about them protesting then WHAT they're protesting. So again, since you don't watch NFL for the anthem, ignore it like you do when you're at home. Don't lie and say you stand up in the middle of your living room with your hand over your heart...

Ignore it like you do their reason for protesting.
