From the words of myself on another forum:<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I know you guys have heard me complain about him before, but its time he gets his own diss thread. The guy just bugs me so much. Hes a color commentator, but he talks about 3x more than the real annnouncer, he just never shuts up. His teeth are disgusting, and he talks like a robot. If you dont know what im talking about, you have to listen to him.But the thing that bugs me the most about him is his bias against Detroit. It bugs the living hell out of me. Detroit could be winning by 20 and he gives no credit to them, but then when they are losing by 20 he dosent shut up. Hes announced about 10 Pistons games this year and I watch them and he never gives any credit to the Pistons. He just rambles on about the other teams superstar.I know alot of people will come in here and say "Just turn it on mute for gods sake!". Its not that easy. I want to listen to him, to see what dumb ass things he has to say next. He has an overall good knowledge of the game but hes so damn biased against the Pistons.</div>

Nash was moving on that 'charge' on Farmar and that wasn't a foul on him either on the next play. :no1:

MrBigShot23, I think you're thoughts on Hubie Brown are ridiculous. I'm glad he talks a lot, that's his job and he is very knowledgeable about the game. And yes, he is probably hard on the Pistons because he knows they can always play better. Like yesterday, Hubie had every right to talk about Detroit in a negative way because they were sleepwalking through the 2nd half. They got way too comfortable, gave up a big lead, and would have lost that game had Orlando made their free throws.

Hubie knows how good the Pistons really are, and he is a former coach. As a coach, I'm sure it's harder to watch a good team give minimal effort and not play their best, especially in the playoffs.

I havent been watching it for that long, but it looks like the refs have got problems. Those 2 fouls that they called on Farmar? What the hell? Nash was clearly moving, and on the other end, Farmar didnt do anything wrong at all.The Lakers are playing great offensivley, but they have to play better on the other end of the floor if they want to keep the lead and win this game.

Thus was the case last night, with him obsessing over Dwight Howard for the entire first half. Trust me man, if you watched every Pistons game with him announcing, you would get damn annoyed by his bias as well. I never questioned his knowledge of the game, but the dude talks more than the normal announcer and I just dont like that.

I don't know why people hate on Mike Breen and Mark Jackson they are probably 2 of the best announcers in the business.

Can you really blame him for saying good things about Dwight Howard? He is a freak of nature and he was very aggressive in the second half last night. You just don't like him because he doesn't drool over Detroit and leave out the facts. He always tells it like it is, whether you like it or not.

And I would not get annoyed if I listened to Hubie every game, I love the guy. I wish he was on more often, to tell you the truth.

But to drone on about him for almost the entire first half when Detroit is dominating, is not neccassary at all. I dont get how you dont understand that. Im not saying he has to drool over Detroit, but at least give some credit. Whenever he talks about them he simply states it, he never adds in stuff and rambles on like he does on most other subjects.I think at one point Hubie Brown was a candidate for the Pistons job and they turned him down, so hes bitter against them. Im not saying thats completely true but just saying, there has to be some reason for his bias.

How can you not drool over Dwight Howard? If he makes a nice play or displays his outstanding athleticism on a play, yes, I expect any announcer to say stuff like "I'll tell ya, this kid is unbelievable." I don't care what the score is, when a player like Dwight Howard is out there doing impressive things, announcers should say things about it whether they are down 10 or up 10.

And I don't know what you are talking about. Hubie credits Billups, Rip, Tayshaun, Sheed, etc. a great deal. He always talks about how great Chauncey is with the game on the line and how he has an outstanding assist-to-turnover ratio, how Rip is "the Reggie Miller of his era," how Sheed is an excellent post player and one of the best big men shooting the basketball in the league, how Prince is an excellent athlete and disruptive defender, how Maxiell is aggressive at all times, how McDyess is one of the more consistent bigs off the bench, how Hunter is a great defensive player, how Flip Murray is a good scorer. He says that stuff all the time, as he should, and he said all of that last night as well.

You are complaining because you actually listen for his comments on Detroit at all times, and you want to hear more because your are a fan of the team.

Only bad thing about D12 is that he turns the ball over too much. Gotta work on that. But back to the Suns/Lakers...
