OT Brian Colangelo criticized NBA people on burner twitter accounts!

But how would that person that's "spoofing" know to put it on private?..

That's telling to me.

 

Well I guess, whoever spoofing saw the story come out and decided it would look worse if the accounts were set to private.
Honestly the more I read about it the more I’m inclined to believe it, but I would still like to see more evidence.

 

Crazy! It's him. The reporter, Ben Detrick, did his homework. I mean to notify Colangelo of the one account, then sit back and see if anything happens with the others was huge in my opinion. If you haven't read the ringer article, it's a must read.

 

The accounts went private before the story came out...

 

I saw that. It obviously sounds like it’s him, I doubt he’ll admit it. There are pretty easy ways to track devices and all that to see who the owner was, unless he was using a vpn which that just makes it harder not necessarily impossible. Anyways seems like he’s guilty so hope he keeps his job and we get Embiid! (Not likely!) lol.

 

Ringer has a podcast up coming from the guy who dug into most of the research (not the source itself) and Chris Ryan of the Ringer who had worked with him. They do a good job of breaking down the whole process from what they did to get us to this point.

 

I wish I could write something that brilliant someday.

 

Looks like his wife may have been involved. 3 of the Twitter accounts used a phone number that has the same last 2 digits as her's (only 2 are visible when you try to reset your password).

 

Everything about this story entertains me way to much.

 

When setting up an account, do you need to put in a legitimate phone number?
Or can you put in a 'fake' number and still be activated to post?
