sh*t, Barbosa is taking over this game...The Lakers need to take Smush out of the game right now. He is playing bad defense, making bad passes, and not helping them at all. Evans took a stupid shot, Kobe took a stupid shot...The Lakers need to get it together right now if they want a chance to win the game.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CelticBalla32 @ Apr 22 2007, 04:55 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>How can you not drool over Dwight Howard? If he makes a nice play or displays his outstanding athleticism on a play, yes, I expect any announcer to say stuff like "I'll tell ya, this kid is unbelievable." I don't care what the score is, when a player like Dwight Howard is out there doing impressive things, announcers should say things about it whether they are down 10 or up 10.And I don't know what you are talking about. Hubie credits Billups, Rip, Tayshaun, Sheed, etc. a great deal. He always talks about how great Chauncey is with the game on the line and how he has an outstanding assist-to-turnover ratio, how Rip is "the Reggie Miller of his era," how Sheed is an excellent post player and one of the best big men shooting the basketball in the league, how Prince is an excellent athlete and disruptive defender, how Maxiell is aggressive at all times, how McDyess is one of the more consistent bigs off the bench, how Hunter is a great defensive player, how Flip Murray is a good scorer. He says that stuff all the time, as he should, and he said all of that last night as well. You are complaining because you actually listen for his comments on Detroit at all times, and you want to hear more because your are a fan of the team.</div>So basically your saying every announcer should devote his attention to the superstar just because they are good, no matter what is happening in the game? Thats just BS. No one appreciates real TEAMS nowadays, its all about the superstars. You my friend have ovbiously not listened to Hubie announce every Pistons game in the past couple years like I have. Because he does have his moments, but he rarely talks about Detroit into much depth like he should.

Everyone knows hes going to shoot and he dosent get his team involved at all. Its not the way basketball was meant to be played.

assists are so overated..Kobe has passed the ball...just because his teammates don't make shots he gets discredited for it?if Kobe had the teammates a guy like Nash does he'd be averaging like 8 assists a gameEDIT: PERFECT EXAMPLE! Kobe passed the ball to Mo Evans and Evans missed the shot

They're nothing bad, and superstars make there teammates better.BTW: 10 assists = 20+ points. 10 points = 10 points.

Now Kobe has to stop. He's taken 3 terrible shots in a row. He needs to start catching the ball and spotting up, or hitting some open teammates.

First off, that was such a bullsh** flop by Boris Diaw. Players are such f*cking pussies nowadays, they have to flop every time they get touched. Be a man and get a f*cking rebound.

Also, why does LA keep going to Kwame in the post? He's not gonna do anything.

No I am saying, Kobe dosent let those other solid players do what they do. So when it boils down, most of the time they are just one player.

I never said that they should devote all their attention to star players. But if a player is doing good things out there, like Howard, yes... talk about it.

And you have no idea how much I appreciate the team aspect of things. I'm with you on that, a lot of people care more about f*cking stats and stars more than team basketball and winning. I'm not one of those people.

And you, my friend, obviously don't know how much basketball I watch.

He was missing almost all of his free throws and getting shut down by the Detroit defense.

More shots = more makes. You ever think maybe Kobe dosent put them in good enough situations?Oooo top 25. Im impressed! Considering theres about 60 starting guards in the NBA and most of them dont get near the amount of playing time as Kobe. Im not just talking about the numbers anyway. Im talking about playmaking skills, court awareness and ultimately just working around the ball. That dosent show up in the stats.Basketball is a beautiful game, that is meant to be played as a team. Kobe is showing the polar opposite of how basketball should be played.

Then Kobe started doing his scoring thing, and without that burst they wouldn't have made the playoffs. Until he gets more help outside of Odom who can get anything done on a somewhat consistent and effective basis, he will continue to need to score in the mid-30's.
