    Wow man.

People chill. You dont always know what the mods discuss and do behind the scenes.

I remember at one point sly putting me in my place in a private message telling me i should be ashamed of myself for a post i made.
He said nothing publicly that i recall. Probably for thought of potentially fanning the flames.

And you know what? I was ashamed and i aplogized and believe i fixed it or he fixed it.

People can disagree and still be friendly and even be friends.

Ill provide a perfect example. I personally dont care for @dviss1 saying you people, when refering to whites. But i dont know all of his history in direct dealings with racism.
I know this. Ive had productive discussions with him regarding sensitive topics and if you show him respect, he will do the same. Ive hung out with @dviss1 and he is a top notch person.

    Each individual has a different personality ( i have a few, :) )

@dviss1 is passionate about his beliefs and speaks candidly about them. Usually it seems someone takes his general statement personal when it was a general.
Then the one on one happens.
Im not privy to all arguments but it does seem that @dviss1 shares his passionate thoughts about a topic and is considered racist for it and them sometiems D comes down close to the same level by being baited.
Ive done the same at times... take the bait.

Let me ask everyone this. Would a black man tell a white man he fricken loves him if he was racist????

D is a stand up guy. Ask him to discuss these things productively and respectfully and i bet he would be game. But once you label him something because you dont beleive or agree with his view, you have made it personal.

There are alot of great people and minds on this forum. Some prefer to engage directly, some prefer to sidestep things and speak in a roundabout manner.
Often these two collide and frustrate each other.

Learn how posters post and dont engage with those you know dont converse in a way you like.

I personally prefer straight forward talk than beat around the bush passive agressive types, but i see how being too direct too often can be abrahsive. Something @dviss might want to consider when rehashing the same thoughts on a topic.

D, like me, you want to lay it all out on the table and expose things for what they are. Commendable. Sometimes we have to understand though that this can and will create conflict at times aNd some things are just left lying under the rug. There is a shitload of dirt under the rug for sure, but sometimes its best to focus on one aspect of the dirt, rather than all of it at once. Meaning pick your battles. Prioritize and focus on one or two until they are resolved, then move to the next pile of dirt. But when trying to clean up all the dirt at once, often gets too messy and creates one big dust cloud that nobody can see through. ;)

Can't do it. Can go months without having to do any outdoor work. No grass, tiny Las Vegas landscaping.

I don't do anything close to half of the indoor chores but I have to do some. Gotta play it by the feel of it. Do too little and she gets pissed.

I'm going to just weigh in here...as you said to dviss...if it's so bad around here why don't you just not be here? Why complain when America has been so good to you? The only guy who gets insulted repeatedly here and never argues is BigGameDamian….even some mods insult him all the time....he's like Gandhi

I’m sure dviss can answer the questions I ask him thanks for your input though. My posting in the OT hasn’t gone way down since the mess it’s become. I post every now and then. Most times I look what people aren’t talking about and all the complaining and I don’t even comment.

    Not assertive enough.

People who give mods a hard time around here should try it first before condemning.
The levity and steadiness is a skill not many possess in this emotional world. But at times they must put the foot down. These decisions are never easy.
I equate the job of a mod much like that of a referee. Never noticed when things go well but always called out when something goes wrong.

They are in a no win situation. Granted, they took the job and should know they cant win with everyone, and i think they do, but they should be afforded more leway than what they are given.
This place can be a complete emotional daycare at times. There are many of us screaming children running around. The dedication they give to try to maintain this place as a destination for blazer fans demands respect around here.

I havent always agreed wih mods decisions, but have ALWAYS respected them.
