Not really. People know McGrady, Kobe, and Deron Williams can all pass. With Deron, they know he's a solid passer, and with McGrady and Kobe it's more a question of putting their mind to it. No one gives Vince Carter any credit for his passing ability outside of New Jersey. Everytime I watch a national Nets game, you always hear the announcers raving about how good a passer Vince is, and how surprised they are at the minimal amount of credit he gets for it. That being said, thanks for the compliment. I'm really sinking my teeth into this writing business all over again, and I enjoy it even more when I get compliments from people such as yourself Nitro.

Kobe and T-Mac because of their reputations as being ballhogs, and Deron because he plays in Utah (he averaged over 9APG this season yet never mentioned with Nash, Kidd, Paul, etc... in terms of passing) are the reasons they are overlooked, moreso than VC. Always great as a fan to see different views from a broad spectrum of people, makes you that much more in tune to the games and overall knowledgable.
The reason why Carter doesn't get that much talk or attention about his passing is because he has Kidd on his team. Kidd always gets inot the talk about passing and triple douobles etc. Carter's passing is being shadowed by Kidd's passing.
