Holy shit. But i'm sure they want at least a 1st round pick, and that's not worth

Trading CJ to philly (if they want him) would be sooo good, they have Picks and young Players

I think that it's accurate to say that Blazers' management saw the roster going into 2017-18 as a fringe playoff team at best. They counted on Napier and Connaughton as backup guards and gave some minutes to Swanigan, Layman and (later) Baldwin. Those guys didn't cut it in the playoffs.

That isn't what Olshey has been saying though. They aren't looking to add rookies, he wants vets with playoff experience.

It MAY be possible to do both, such as a trade for Faried + pick. He could say "Haha, I brought in a vet", while also moving up in the draft. "The draft is the best way to manage the cap" I can hear him say already...

Not surprised. Despite all of the crap he gets around here, Meyers improved last season, but was caught in a numbers crunch and didn't get any PT. His contract isn't bad at all for a big man. I'd say it's likely that he gets traded this summer.

You must be referencing this column. It's complete speculation, and says that we'd have to attach other assets to him. No indication that anyone actually wants him.

Seems like Philly trading #10 and Fultz for CJ might be something to look at and might be good for both teams—at least from my point of view.

Everything is complete speculation before the draft.....but I think all 3 of those teams would make him a rotation player and his contract is not that expensive for a big.....push the ball forward...I don't believe he'll ever crack the rotation here. Of all our players he needs a new team and fresh start more than anybody

No....Olshey won't let you know shit until 5 minutes before the draft....Wes Mathews is very close to Meyers...Meyers visited Dallas and Wes hooked him up with an off season coach...Dallas needs a big....Cuban gave Wes stupid money when Jordan bailed on him and Dallas needs a big and someone to shoot 3s when Dirk retires. I think Indiana could use him as well. Meyers improved even though fans here won't really acknowledge it.

That would go against everything Olshey has been preaching in the media so far this offseason.

I think the biggest speculation here is that CJ gets traded and I just don't see that happening at all.....

It appears to me that where Meyers really improved was in his maturity, how he carried himself while riding the bench, and also in his few court appearances. I thought the difference in him was striking. Does he finally have a fully matured 26 year old brain? I think yes. His problem last season was as you said there was no room for him at the inn. Our future is Zach and Nurk. I hope that either the Blazers trade Meyers, or they clear room to play him. He's doing us no good on the bench.

I don’t even think he would trade CJ for a top 5 pick, I really don’t. He’s going to die with Dame and CJ and we either can accept it or cry about it.

My guess is they’ll invest (vets via TPE, MLE, and development of younger players like Nurk, Collins, Moe) in the current group for the next two seasons, and then make some decisions in 2020, when they’ll have more flexibility to reboot.
