    No one's arguing that point. Just saying that not liking Faried as a player is not really an argument against this deal, as his ability to contribute to the Blazers' success is not at all a consideration.

    Faried coming to Portland would be a huge MEH for me....the dude hasn't played well for several years...I'd roll with Swanigan over him anytime...we need 3 and D guys and lights out shooters.

    Exactly this! It would be such a huge win to add Courtney Lee and the 14th pick for Meyers Leonard.

    I also think the Vonleh TPE will come into play as well. Would allow Neil to target someone still on their rookie contract that a team may want to dump for savings. So think of something like when we got Harkless from Orlando, except things are much more urgent nowadays with the financial landscape of the league. Another reason why it would serve Portland to go “all in” the next two seasons.
