I don't know who the fuck "Dane" is, nor do I care. So how would I know it's a joke? I didn't detect a grain of anything funny in his statement.

Except that Kawhi not only won a title, he was the NBA Finals MVP.

On a macro-level (season) - sure. Before the season even starts you know the champion will be one of 3 teams.
But on a micro-level (game) it's still the most exciting - BY FAR. Even the worst game of basketball is infinitely more interesting than a "good" game of baseball. And an exciting game of football consists of maybe 2-3 total minutes of excitement.
NHL certainly gives the NBA a run for its money on the micro-level...but it's the bastard child of major league sports.

It was a lame attempt at a joke. I understood that, but I also remember when I was a kid, jokes were actually funny. Now we have all these wannabe comedians shitting tritely all over the twitterverse hoping someone will find them clever, or ironic, or at least interesting enough to follow and occasionally retweet. I find it pathetic. I have no idea who this guy is, nor do I care. I meet 20 people who are funnier, more clever and more interesting everyday before lunch.

No, I think everyone who read that knew it was an attempt at a joke. To be an actual joke, it would need to be funny in some way.

Remember how jacked they were when the stole LA from us? HAHAHAHAHAHa - choke on it, suckers! Everything you are experiencing now is a DIRECT result of signing LA. Better you, than us!

Huh? Blaming Aldridge for Kawhi wanting to leave? From everything I have read is that he doesn't care for Pops handling of things. Do you have any evidence that Aldridge was the issue?

Faried and 14 for TPE. CJ and 14 for Kawhi. I keep seeing rebuilding packages offered elsewhere, high picks, etc. But I think there was speculation pop was likely done in 2-3 years. Don't think hes moving kawhi for lotto picks, IMO.

I think Pop giving LA the kid gloves like he got in Portland wasn't the main issue but a contributing factor to the decision to ask for a trade.

I'll bet Pop retires with Ginobli...since Duncan retired, Pop has really looked to me like his heart just isn't in it anymore....he's got nothing to prove..HOF legend if he quit tomorrow

That's not what I'm talking about. Not the action itself. I'm talking about how it's the same damn teams every year in the Finals. And nobody is surprised.
