This is a very competitive game so far. Nice blocks from Amare and Lamar has come out determined. Kobe is keeping us in the game when we need it. I like our chances tonight. We just got to learn how to close out.

And we have to learn how to step on a team when they are down. We never win Game 2's but we better start tonight. They played well in the first quarter. The offense was clicking and Steve Nash made some beautiful passes. The defense has been good despite the 25 points given up. Amare has been great to start off the game.

I don't know what surprises me more Kurt Thomas getting playing time or that the refs haven't called 3 fouls on him already.

See, this is exactly why Kobe can't just pass and "trust his teammates" more than shooting. People kept arguing with me yesterday that Kobe was being a ballhog and that the Lakers would be a better team if he didn't shoot as much and passed the ball more. Well, there you have it. Kobe was definitely in facilitator mode in the 1st half today and look what happens. The Lakers are down by 21. The Lakers have a real dilemma here because when Kobe facilitates more than shooting, most nights the Lakers can't keep up...especially with run-and-gun teams like Phoenix. And when Kobe shoots more and keeps the Lakers in the game he runs out of gas late and just doesn't have the legs for it. It's hard to watch.

:shok: To add to the horrendous game (for the Lakers) Kobe just rolled his ankle...it keeps getting worse and worse.Phoenix Sun fans disgust me, they were cheering very profusely when Kobe got hurt. :no3:

We can't stand around and watch Kobe...players have to move, get open, and we have to run the offense. We'll take game 2. Count on it</div> :happy0144: Almost perfectly played game. Great offense, great defense and we got to rest our guys. Now I can watch tomorrow's games in peace and not be upset about a loss...even though the Diamondbacks did lose AGAIN. Everyone contributed and Kurt got some playing time which I like to see. We'll need him in the next round so he needs to get used to playing those minutes again. Amare was a beast. We are now 12-0 over the last 3 years in games when Amare has started and/or Kurt has been healthy. :P Let's hope we can make it 14-0 by the end of the season.

I count it as a team game. So yeah kobe's teammates suck but I say he sucks too because he's not making them better [IMG] Give em more open looks more often.edit: as for the ankle, that wasn't bad. I sprained my ankle worse the other day and I was back playing in 15 minutes. He'll probably sit out the last 2 games so he can say 'hey they didn't beat me, they beat my sh*t team'

The Suns need to finish this in at least 5 and I won't get too excited until I'm sure they do that.

Wow.

That's phil jackson's bad. kobe should've been long out. Supports my saying that PJ is the most overrated coach ever. And if you think this series is going past 5, then I'm sorry, but you're just dumb. This is a total mismatch. Game 1 was a fluke.

Wow, S2S. We have argueably the best player and coach in the league, and they are surrounded by complete pieces of trash. This team desperately needs to change its look this offseason. (Sorry if I come off as harsh..I am just pissed.)

I swear I think they're actually WORSE.

I have never seen a team take such a nosedive so quickly. I mean really, even a few months (a month for the mildly retarded) ago people thought they were a top 7 team.

I know Kobe isn't yelling at his teammates, "Let's take 'em to 6, guys!"

Lakers won't take the Suns past 5. If they do I'll stop posting for a week. It's just not going to happen.
