OT The Government Has No Plan for Reuniting the Immigrant Families It Is Tearing Apart

If separating innocent children from their parents, with no plan or structure to reunite them as soon as humanly possible, "rule of law" can suck my dick.

 

the backlog in asylum cases was at 50,000 or something not long ago...they don't have the staff to process cases fast enough. as to people fleeing their homelands you should read Sitting Bull and the trail of tears sometimes...we split up many families during the genocide of native americans….I guess they didn't have a border patrol either or they never would have allowed Europeans to come here by the millions. Don't understand why folks are trying to make this about parenting....that didn't seem to be an issue when WWII ended...even today many stories I read about holocaust victims finally finding family members lost for decades....war refugees are not scammers...sure there are scammers crossing the border....my guess is those scammers aren't fleeing with their families from Central American horrors.

I would grant you this, however - with how much attention this is getting, if they continue to come here KNOWING what is going to happen, then damn - where they're coming from is *really* bad.

Then perhaps they should fix the friggin place. This seem entirely preferable to submitting to having your family taken from you for showing up before you have refugee status that would prevent
you from submitting to this disaster. Perhaps they do not, because refugee status which can be changed to asylum, is not what they seek.

The question needs to be asked! If people are too fucking dumb to find out what they are getting into, don't care what the result of their actions are on their children and family, why do we need them here?

 

you act as if these poor Central Americans have internet access and legal counsel between fleeing violence and gang wars in their homeland before they have a choice....people here during the great depression didn't research California when Oklahoma dried up...they had no choice but to follow the work and food..because they had children to feed. not one of them willingly gave up their children to armed guards at the border. I was as shocked at this recent practice as they probably were...fact is, none of these folks threatens my way of life or ever will...some rage filled heavily armed white supremist poses the more serious threat to our public safety

They had a great deal more. They had the Constitution to protect their rights regardless of States. They had to right to cross state boundaries of their free will. Immigrants have none of these rights and as the very liberal 9th court have ruled, they are not entitled to bail either.

 

They did not need them to cross state boundaries, did they.

 

sure they did....Oklahoma and California and the states between them....although as I said...highly doubtful any of them could prove citizenship...other than being Caucasians. The border patrol isn't shaking down white Canadians in the same manner...think they'd separate a family from Toronto from their kids? Highly doubtful.....double standards
