That is exactly why Sheryl Crow and I are in a biodiesel bus going thru the Southeast visiting college campuses to talk about the urgency of this issue and how everyone . . . everyone . . . has to start doing something.</div> So basicly, your going on this big tour because it was warmer than usual in a few cities you were in? This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read.... These celebrities sure think they are something, especially Crow, armed with 3rd grade knowledge of our planet, what makes these people think they are expert enough to be preaching to college students....I'm sure hundreds of people on those campus' know more than Crow and Davis do.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Crow (4/19): This next idea I have been saving but I will share it with you if you promise not to steal it. It is my latest, very exciting idea for creating incentive for us all to minimize our own personal carbon footprints. It's a reality show. (I feel pretty certain NO ONE has thought of this yet!) Here is the premise: the contest consists of 10 people who are competing for the top spot as the person who lives the "greenest" life. This will be reflected in the contestant's home, his business, and his own personal living style. The winner of this challenging, prestigious, contest would receive what??. . . . a recording contract!!!!!</div> OMGZ Sheryl! I hope nobody steals that golden idea! ------------------------------ Apparently these two, both obviously gigantic hypocrites, want to tell us to only use so much toilet paper. Because we have top save tree's. But don't these two boneheads understand that if we cut back paper use and less tree's have to be cut....there's less incentive for companies to grow/plant tree's? Ugh, nothing pisses me off more than these ignorant hippy celebrities.
Funny how you complain about everybody that talks about global warming, yet you make a topic about it every 0.2 seconds. Leave it alone lol.
So now we criticize celeberties for trying to do something POSITIVE in the world? Wow. God for big she tries to help out the world by letting people know that this thing is for real. It's better she does this then hear about a shooting she just did or something, god.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (MaRdYC26 @ Apr 23 2007, 10:24 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>God for big</div> It's "God forbid," not "God for big."
I hate hearing celebrities talk about anything, no matter what the subject they sound retarded about it. I wonder if they know that half the toilet paper in the US comes from recycling.

I know a lot about terrorism, but I'm not going to go on a bus and spread a message I'm not qualified to talk about.... And I said this in my last topic, I will continue to post every global warming topic that pisses me off, if you don't like it, ignore it.
You're just wasting your time then. Because nobody really cares that you "hate hippy celebrities". There's absolutely nothing wrong with someone (no matter how un-educated you deem them to be) trying to make a positive difference, regardless of whether or not you like them or their idea. But since you'll inevitably continue your inane tirade against things that actually make sense, I think I'll heed your "ignore it" statement after this.
I don't think it's ever positive to have someone spreading wrong information to young impressionable people....especially when the person spreading the clearly wrong/biased information is hardly anyone qualified to be talking about it in the first place. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour/scrow/scrow1.html And yet, look at Mrs. Crow's list of demands/motorcade for events. It's okay that she demand other people do something about global warming while she lives the high life. At least Al Gore's concern for the issue is genuine.
Jesus f*cking christ BCB. You start these global warming threads constantly, and nobody ever cares. Just give it up. Global Warming is a serious problem. It's not as big a problem as the media makes it out to be. We get the picture.
I have an idea, what about if one you morons made a topic once and a while instead of bashing me for it? The last time I made a global warming topic was 35 days ago.How am I spamming? Look at my topic post, thats hardly spamming, me providing a link and nothing else, maybe. If you think I'm spamming, have Tony suspend me or just shut up about it already because I'm tired of it.

Global warming topics have almost never gone longer than 1-2 pages here, so it's nonsensical to constantly make new ones bashing people who *gasp* bring awareness to a topic that needs some every time a celebrity talks about it.
NICE TOPIC BCB!I for one, get very annoyed hearing people talk about it. We shouldn't beat ouselves up over the inevitable. Let's face it, the climate changes, with or with out our help.We have some kickass models about it at the office. But, as usual we can't show you. But go to the NOAA homepage and browse around. Here's a link...sorry, it's the best I can do.Link

Instead of going absolute nuts over global warming, we should go after the things that are hurting our environment NOW. How about cleaning our water? Cleaner air? Cleaner land? I'd be more worried about that than something that COULD affect us 500-1000 years from now.
I think cleaning up that stuff would end all this global warming BS. because according to Al Gore(yes I did actually read something by him) our air pollution is the number one reason for global warming; mostly cars I think. I agree that our air/water/land should be cleaned up, but right now neither of the political entities want that. the cons are making a sh*t load from big business, and the libs are making an equal shitload with their global warming scare tactics.
