[IMG]Sweet outside stroke, explosive scorer, good handles and great defnese? What's not to love about Brewer?I would not mind seeing us drafting him with the fourth/fifth pick and making a trade packaging Gerald, Gomes, Telfair, West and a future pick for that other big we're looking for..if it came down to thatI know everybody wants to trade the pick most likely if it not a top 2 pick but honestly Brewer is a guy who could have a HUGE impact in 2-3 years from now and become the player we want Gerald to be..he's proven he can do the things we want Gerald to be doing at the college level..the thing is..Brewer won't put us in contention immedietly like everybody thinks we will be next year..but I think when Danny talks about the multiple all-stars in this draft Brewer is one of those guys and he will be an excellent pro.I also have one complaint and rant:WE WILL NOT BE CONTENDERS NEXT YEAR! AS MUCH AS YOU DON'T WANT TO ADMIT THAT!You think there aren't other teams in just as good of a position as us to get to that next level (ala Chicago, Toronto) that are developing much faster than we are?If we don't get Oden or Durant it isn't the end of the world because we can land a guy like Brewer who will have an impact and hopefully be an all-star a few years down the road..I like Brewer a lot...Slow news day...

There is a difference with these two. Brewer will be a great guy to have on your team, a guy that does everything, is a great athlete, and a very good defender. I compare him to Tayshaun Prince, I think that is incredibly accurate. But Gerald is a guy that we all expect to eventually be a guy to literally take over a game offensively. He has that kind of potential, without question. Brewer will more than likely always be a better all-around player than Gerald, but Brewer will never have the natural scorer's mentality Gerald was born with.

I think Brewer could also get the Bruce Bowen comparison (with better handles of course). He is going to be a phenomenal player. I think Gerald has a long way to go before he is a pure scorer IMO. He gets to scared of what to do, he doesn't trust himself and he NEVER calls for the ball. I think I've only seen him call for the ball once, and that was vs. Milwaukee at the end of the game.

Corey Brewer should never be in the same breathe as Gerald Green! J/KYah like CB32 said he's more like a Tayshaun Prince type player. If he could score and dunk like Gerald can than he would be like Gerald.

He can dunk like Gerald and you could also say he can score as well too.

[IMG] Why are you arguing about who's the better dunker? Brewer is a much better basketball player, period. So, maybe he can't windmill over a 3' table, but he can sure play defense, shoot, handle the ball, and perform more consistently than Gerald.

Watching him more, you can still see it, but there are some differences in their games. Example, coming out of college, and even in the NBA to some extent, Tay was an excellent shooter, especially from long range. While Brewer isn't a terrible shooter by any means, it's not one of his strong points. Brewer can be a very solid shooter at the next level if he works on his consistency. He showed in the NCAA tourney he has range. Another thing is quickness. That was something Tay lacked coming out of college, but is something Brewer excells at. There are VERY similar in many ways, (long arms, great defenders, both could use some more muscle, etc.) but just some things that are different.
