The Cavs need a PG more than anyone it seems at times, with your star player playing 'Point Forward' as Charles Barkley calls it, the Cavs need a decent PG. Who is the best in the market do you guys think? I dont think there are many FA PG's willing to live there team, however I heard Chauncey was considering moving, so maybe Cleveland will pickup that contract.

They really don't need a true point guard, they just need a point guard that can hit get the ball to half court, and shoot the three. Lebron James handles the ball handling duties, and I think that is where their best chance for winning lies is having him with the ball in his hands. He has some of the best vision and passing in the NBA, and is a great playmaker. He can get to the rim well, his shooting is getting better. All they need is others that can rebound, and people that can hit the open jumper created by his driving ability.

A true point guard is not what we are lacking right now, Larry Hughes is no point guard but he has done a better job at it then at the shooting guard spot. He said he likes it more and this is why he is playing the point. Sasha is doing a great job at the two guard spot so I don't wanna really do some stuff with the guards. Now, on the big side of the ball I do. We need a defensive big in order to make that big push. We need a player that can guard Dwight Howard, Sheed, O'neal, Shaq, Bosh, and all those bigs out there. Cleveland gets owned by them every time they play us, Gooden is terrible on defense and a little girl can play better then him. If Danny Ferry gets a power forward who can play some defense this team will be able to make that push, IMO. I still got the faith for this year, we got an easy road to the ECF but the ECF is gonna be a huge test if we do end up making it. Most likely, and no offense to Chicago or the Magic for that matter but it's gonna be Miami or Detroit and thats gonna be a tough one.

Like CavsRule said, The Cavaliers on-ball low post defense is terrible. We are going to have to look into fixing this in the off-season. Sure Big Z is 7'3" but that is all he is. His mobility and block instincts are nothing to brag about. The only reason he is a threat down low is because he is 7'3". He can't stay with a man that has an offensive arsenal down low. His low post IQ is fine, it is just his ability to complete what his mind is thinking that leads to problems. The best part about AV's defense down low is his hustle and his desire to stop his opponent no matter what the cost, even going hard to the floor- forcing the refs to call a charge. His low post IQ isn't good. He makes up for it with his heart, but heart alone isn't enough to stop a player with a variety of low post moves and the ability to correctly execute them.Drew Gooden is in the same boat as AV. But it isn't just his low post defense IQ that is the problem, his overall basketball IQ isn't the best thing in the world. He is usually on a one track mind while playing the game- either shoot, block, box-out, pass, or steal and very rarely can he successfully change his mindset to something else quickly enough to carry it out before it is too late; although, he has gotten better at doing this throughout his career. Drew Gooden's footwork on defense is terrible. When he gets out from underneath the hoop it is even worse. One quick fake and a low post drop step by a guy like Eddy Curry has Drew Gooden completely thrown off position and Curry with an easy layup.Although the Cavaliers low post defense isn't the worst thing in the world, it is one of the top things on my list to get fixed in the off-season.I would love to get Jason Terry though.

Actually, Z has something that he did very well in the Washington series and thats shoot that jumper I want him to take. If Z moves out to 15 feet and he and LeBron play catch it gets the defense moving onto Z and that leaves that nice paint WIDE OPEN. Why don't we do it often? Ask Mike Brown, because this is so easily enough to work but we don't do it often. Z had his stroke going last series, and if it is the same as this series coming up against the Nets I can see us outlasting them. Z is always gonna be key for us, we just gotta use him the right way. I honestly hate that stupid hook shot, every time he does it I just wanna throw something at the TV. Its garbage, he needs to go out and be useful to this team and shoot that jumper to help the offense. I agree on the defensive point though, he has the mindset right but he just can't follow it up because of his lack of mobility down low.Gooden doesn't have defense, I honestly think he is just an lazy SOB that doesn't like to do anything but go on offense and work. Nothing wrong with working hard on the offensive end, but we need the boost on defense and that is something Gooden doesn't have. If only this off season we could get someone that can work hard down low and not let much in the paint. I beg Ferry this off season to get a draft pick and do so, or sign someone. I'd love Jason Terry, I was pimping him the off season he was a free agent but he resigned with Dallas. Not much we can do, we don't have much to offer for Terry even though I believe he would be the piece this team needs to make a huge run. Its a dream, but it's also a dream that wont happen.
