How in gods name is Telfair a pass first guard? This kid can't play a lick of defense, he looks lost half the time he's on the court, he can run...I'll give you that, but his drive and dish game is vastly overrated, he's been benched to a 3rd string point guard on two bad basketball teams on the Celts/Blazers. He has had some good scoring games just blowing by people and making lay-ups but other than that I haven't seen too much to brag about Telfair. He has really shown no huge improvement since he joined the NBA.In my opinion, this kid is a bust. Not to mention he has a felony weapons charge against him right now in NYC which he will have to fly in and out of to attend court hearings. This kid is an absolute mess right now. I don't see why any team would want to take him on. Just go to Europe Telfair and play with your brother. At best, he will get signed and play about 5 minutes a game. He'd be so much better off playing in Europe.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>daniel gibson</div>Another good reason to not sign Telfair.
Cleveland needs a point guard who can run an offense, and stretch the defense with outside shooting to allow LeBron and Hughes to have more room to operate. Telfair obviously doesn't fit that mold.I also agree with WTTJ, Telfair has basically been a bust since entering the league. He needs to get his act together, or just go play in Europe somewhere. Yet another guy who could have benefited from attending college.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Yet another guy who could have benefited from attending college.</div>EXACTLY
yall need a true PG, who can pass and run the fast break like bash, he cant shoot but hughes can, and yal wil hav pav comin of bench, gibson is not a true PG, bron will recruit bash because he knos yall need a pg. not eric slow, not damon no clok jones, and not daniel ballhog gibson

Yeah, lets bring in Sebastian Telfair so he can do exactley what he did in Portland and in Boston...NOTHING. He has potential, but I am getting tired of waiting on him. The other players in his draft class that came out of high school have developed MUCH more than he has. There is no excuse...This team needs a true PG, but Bassy isnt the right person for the job.
this is a funny topic!!! :HAHAHA: You guys should also bring in Scottie Pippen!!! :drunk: :HAHAHA: Cavs are fine and their PG spot is fine. No more bogus posts like this. Who is this new kid?

I definitely don't think Telfair is what they need at all, but they do need a new point guard. Daniel Gibson is a scorer, Eric Snow won't give you much offensively, and David Wesley is on his last breath (in the NBA, not on his life). Like valo said in another thread, Cleveland doesn't necessarily need a top-notch playmaker. They need a point guard who will run and who can shoot the ball. To say that Cleveland's point guard situation is fine is absurd, they have a 2-guard running the point right now and they need more shooting.

Unless we do some spring cleaning this off season I don't want any point guard. I'm perfectly fine with Larry running the point and Sasha playing the two guard. No, Hughes isn't a point guard and wont be but the record shows how good we are when he starts at the point guard spot. We really need a defensive big like I stated before to make a final push. Gooden and Z are pretty much for offensive use and getting rebounds. The offense also dies when Eric Snow comes in and runs it, thats just Mike Brown being the moron he really is. Anyway, on Telfair I don't want him even though Cleveland possible needs a little help at the point. He will end up in New York, watch and see.

For the future maybe, but right now they are pretty much set.

Having Hughes take over the ball handling duties is asking a little bit much from him, and they also need another guy to take a little bit more pressure off LeBron. Like Barkley says, LeBron should be finishing plays more often than he starts them. They need a reliable guard who can shoot the basketball.
I agree that we need another person who can take presser off LeBron, I don't think Sasha Pavlovic is that guy but he has done a OK job from when he got the starting job. I wonder if he can work even harder this off season and become even better to help us get a triple threat. I don't think having Hughes handle the ball is asking to much, he has done more in the past month or so whenever he got the job to start at point then he has at shooting guard. He likes being there and even though he is a shooter he needs to learn to pass the ball a lot more. The problem is, LeBron gets the ball and he waits and this team waits to see what he does and before you know it the shot clock is down to 5 and he has to throw up a terrible jumper. Thats the Mike Brown offense, and thats why our offense is crap.
I think a guy like Mo Williams, Delonte West, Mike James, etc. would be nice for Cleveland. A guy that can bring the ball up, but they are also good natural shooters who would keep that offense spaced out and effective.
Cavs got the worst fans, yall dont kno what yall want, Lebron is wack he will NEVEr lead them to a chip, he is playing a bad wash team without there top 2 players, and they will play the nets or ronto?? they both suck soo yall got it easy yll better take advantage of it

I'd just be happy to get rid of David Wesley and just free some space up and get some players that can play.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Mikeballa2001 @ Apr 25 2007, 01:27 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Cavs got the worst fans, yall dont kno what yall want, Lebron is wack he will NEVEr lead them to a chip, he is playing a bad wash team without there top 2 players, and they will play the nets or ronto?? they both suck soo yall got it easy yll better take advantage of it</div>The Worst? OK, bud. LeBron is the second best player in the NBA[IMO] and he will lead us to a championship. Kobe needed Shaq, Wade needed Shaq, Melo has A.I. All LeBron has is Larry Hughes and he is making the best of it.
