Anybody catch this ridiculous mistake in the Oregonian’s article on Connaughton being released? “The Portland Trail Blazers will reportedly not tender a qualifying offer to Shabazz Napier, allowing the third-year guard to become an unrestricted free agent, according to Michael Scotto of The Athletic. Connaughton joins fellow former Blazers reserve Shabazz Napier -- who likewise was not extended a qualifying offer -- on the free agent market.” The story was posted at 2 am, which means no one on the OregonLive staff has noticed the error for the last 21 hours. My other gripe, while I’m at it, is that OLive keeps the same stories at the top of their feed for days at a time. You would think the Connaughton and Napier stories would be right at the top, but you have to scroll through about a dozen old stories to find the latest breaking news buried in the feed. Who is running this rinky dink website, anyway?
I may have posted on O-live but I don’t take their content seriously, and probably won’t as long as Canzano is there.
