It's nearly impossible to defeat the Spurs in a 7 game playoff series, they are one of the best adjusting teams in the league. They will know Denver's entire game inside and out before the series is over.Key matchup: Carmelo Anthony VS Bruce BowenAnthony's stats against SA: 15.0 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 2.8 apg.Bowen's stats against Denver: 6.7 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.3 apg.X-Factor players: Marcus Camby, Michael FinleyBALLAHOLLIC's key to victory:- Perimeter defense. If we let Tony Parker or Manu Ginobili gain an inch of space, they will burn us every single time down the floor. Both of them do exceptionally well against Denver, especially Manu Ginobili. It's up to our guards to control the perimeter, we can't allow them to torch us offensively.- Nene cannot get himself into foul trouble, we need his strong defensive presence against Tim Duncan in the post. I think he plays the best defense against Duncan on our team, even better than Marcus Camby. Duncan is a smart player, I'm sure he's going to try and get alot of fouls called on Nene.- Our role players need to step it up on both ends of the floor. We need Blake, Smith and Kleiza to hit their open jump shots and keep their man under control. We need those guys to take some pressure off of Carmelo and Iverson. Conclusion: I don't see this series going past 6 games. The Spurs are too experienced, I don't think anybody expects us to beat the best team of the past decade. The Spurs have the depth, the firepower, and the experience to win this in 6 games. My predictions:Game 1: Nuggets 94, Spurs 88Game 2: Spurs 97 Nuggets 91Game 3: Spurs 99 Nuggets 89Game 4: Nuggets 104 Spurs 97Game 5: Spurs 91 Nuggets 86Game 6: Spurs 101 Nuggets 93
I think the Spurs will take this one..and if they don't and play like they did last game they're going to be knocked out of the playoffs
I'm really excited for this game. If the Nuggets win I'll be jumping for joy. I see the Spurs winning in 6 right now, but if the Nuggets win tonight they'll either be knocked out or it'll have to be in 7.
In the first quarter the Nuggets were missing a lot of shots and in the first half they are leaving the 3-point shooters open too much. They really need to make some adjustments on defense if they want to win. They had a nice little run at the very end of the half to keep their hopes of going 2-0 alive.
This is the horrible defense I am talking about. Ginobili is setting up for 3, Iverson is right with him. He just sits there and looks at Manu shoot, even though he's right in his face. Get a damn hand up, moron.
I think this game is over...Manu's in the game now after struggling to start the series. Darn...they could take 1 in Denver though, and I'll be satisfied with that.
Eh, Denver can't find a rhythm offensively, and their defensive rotations are pretty much non-existant.Iverson can't get a shot to drop, or get a call from the referees either. If you're Denver, at least you got the split, even though they were really looking to take both in San Antonio. The problem though is that San Antonio is basically guaranteed to win one in Denver just because they are the Spurs. Plus Denver sometimes seems to have a problem with intensity at home... sometimes it looks like they just try to feed off the crowd a little too much. If Denver doesn't have a let down at home in this series, they will be in great shape.Hopefully this is a long and entertaining series...
Nuggets are making it close! Can they make a miraculous comeback and take a big lead in the series? I doubt it but they have the time to pull it off.
That's got to sting for Denver. They missed 8-10 easy lay-ups/dunks tonight. A few of those go down, and they probably win. Like Combs said though, that Camby dunk KILLED them... he makes that, and I think Denver might have stolen that game.Despite a lot of things going wrong they were able to come back at the end. At least Karl has something positive to build on... better than saying "Alright guys, we got blown out tonight, but we can win Game 3!"
Wow, my predictions can't get any closer. My Game 1 Prediction: Nuggets 94, Spurs 88My Game 2 Prediction: Spurs 97, Nuggets 91Game 1 Score: Nuggets 95, Spurs 89Game 2 Score: Spurs 97, Nuggets 88The first game, I was one point off for each team. In Game 2 I predicted the Spurs exact final score, and I was only three points off for the Nuggets. I should replace Miss Cleo!As for the game, no comment. Nothing needs to be said, it's a game we should have won.
I didnt get to watch alot of the game, but from the sound of things, it seems like the Spurs got lucky to win this one. I watched the first half, and they controlled most of it...but I guess things changed somewhat? O well, I am happy that we got the win. I think that the Spurs will win at least 1 in Denver, and unfortunatley, it will go to 7.

Story of the game. So many missed dunks and layups it was unbelievable. I was about to have a heart attack seeing all those easy ones missed. Was it just me, or did it look like both the announcers had toupees on?
OMFG Camby missed that open dunk I was going crazy over here what a idiot. If we made it we would have stole that game.Anyway f****** AWFUL Melo was getting elboed all over NONE STOP and he get's called for 2-3 OFFENSE of FOULS, then AI who is one of the best in the game at getting to the line if not the best was giving 0 free throws thats right 0.The reffs fault we fell back so much in the first play even though AI was of, and Melo to start the game it was awful some of the calls made against Denver when there was no foul they call a foul, and when Denver get's fouled they don't call it? ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING MEE??? Now there was a few calls that they maybe did not make there way, but they atleast doubled the bad calls against Denver and I mean ATLEAST DOUBLED.Is it just me, or you people see Melo get elboed yet no fould called against them they give Melo though 2-3 offense of fouls for getting elboed are you kidding me? ARGThe reffs blew the game end of story on this one. Sure we started bad, but the reffs making AWFUL calls against Denver did not help, but put us in a worse whole to dig our selfs out of.They made a great come back, and showed heart atleast so that can do a lot for a teams confidents.I don't think Spurs will steal one in Denver like some think. And over all I am really up set that the reffs messed this game up for us when we should be up 2-0.And for the love of got rotate, and cover the f****** 3 pointers Denver PLEAZEEEEEEE.
So guys what you think about the reffs like I said?
