The Memphs Grizzlies asked Mr. Snider of the Sixers permission to talk to larry Brown, possibly with the intention to get him back on the sideline (that can't be gauranteed though, considering Jerry West will be leaving the franchise in a few months). But the question is: Why would Larry want anything to do with that franchise? They have some pieces there, but nothing really to jump through the roof for. Or maybe the opprotunity to coach Greg Oden or Kevin Durant is too tempting for him (I don't see that a a good enough reason though). Does he really miss coaching that much? Or does he want to oversee and build a team that can actually win a playoff game?

Money and control. He'll leave afterwards.

Bad move for the Grizzlies, if this even ever turns out to be anything. LB isn't the best guy out there with a bunch of young, inconsistent, and unproven young players. If he ever comes back to coaching, he needs to go to a veteran team he can help take to the next level, not a young team like Memphis. Like Rok said, he's in it for money and control.I think Memphis needs to get on the phones quickly with Rick Adleman. He is an outstanding offensive coach, he fits Memphis' run n' gun style, and Memphis has some good passers (especially Gasol, who would be his new Webber, in a way) which will make Adleman's offense work. I think Adleman is the perfect fit.

Wow. This franchise is a complete joke. They are looking into hiring Larry Brown without a GM, and the GM they are looking into is Kiki, one of the worst in the modern era. I'd be pissed if I were a Grizzlies fan.

I agree. Larry Brown is not going to do anything for that franchise. He might be able to help them out for a year or two, but after that he'll leave. He's better off staying in Philadelphia and being an advisor to the 76ers. As much as I hate his moves as a GM, he's still better than Billy King at this point. Also, I really don't know why he would want to come back and coach any team that is not looking to get over the hump and win a title. I mean, we all know he has enough money... especially from the Knicks.

For Larry Brown, this would be like the Knicks all over again. Don't commit suicide, Larry!

Hmm wow why would he want to? DAMNI don't think this is a good idea to go to freakin Memphis all they have is Pau Gasol, and that draft pick.
