You love watching basketball, watching elite talent/athletes execute at a high level, learning new things, seeing young players/teams develop... To see who lifts the trophy at the end of the season is far down the list of reasons why I watch the NBA. And if it tops yours, you're watching the wrong sport.

Are you kidding? LeBron is on the Lakers. Ratings will be at an all time high. Prob half their games will be on national TV. Lakers fans all over the country now have LeBron to root for. Half of Moda Center rooted for Lakers when they sucked! Lakers and Celtics with star players. Best TV ratings in years.
You have no clue buddy. There's more than two teams in the league. Those will be the only two games that get viewers. LeBron just lost core fans (some of whom I know). Look at Twitter bro. Look at here. They're going to lose ratings.
Small market teams should all instruct their players to not go past half court in their first few games. Just take turns shooting from half court the entire game in protest.

Dude. Warriors, Lakers, Celtics, and Sixers will be most of the TV games and people will watch at record highs. You know a few people who don't like LeBron anymore, lol? Who cares? He just gained millions of fairweather fans in LA. The Warriors/Cavs Finals got record ratings. There are more people in LA than Cleveland. Plus, Boston has near All Star team when healthy. I guarantee ratings will go up. Christmas game will prob be Lakers/Celtics or Lakers/Warriors and it will be the highest rated Christmas game ever.
