This is an exact excerpt of an interview of Nets Forward Richard Jefferson on Hoopshype.com.Hoopshype: With the crowd the way it is in Toronto, is it disappointing the Nets haven?t sold out their home playoff games yet?RJ: Not really. As long as I?ve been here in New Jersey, we?ve never had a ridiculous home court when it comes to fans and stuff. But for some reason, outside of this year, we?ve always had very good home dominance and played extremely well at home, even with the stands being half-filled.I think it's grea that they stil fight hard at home despite the fact that attendance is crappy (that's putting it lightly). What possible reason do basketball fans in N.J. have for not supporting the Nets? it's ridiculous. I thought Orlando fans were bad, but that was back when we were the worst in the league, so maybe there was some excuse. But this is N.J. who has been in the playoff race ever since Jason Kidd stepped foot in the building. It's shameful, and it's why they're moving.I probably offended somebody with my little rant, so go prove me wrong and buy a dang ticket. I know if I lived up there I would.

I live in NJ, and I buy tickets from the scalpers. That is how many people are here, and the attendance is WAY up from a few years ago. But due to difficult location with no mass transportation, and the fact that this is still a Knicks-dominated area, it's tough to sell out a ton.

Like Nitro said it's a Knicks dominated area, not to mention the arena is in a terrible location where travel is a huge pain in the ass.

I love how BCB says that people post while they just repeat what has already been said. Then he just summarizes the last post before his [IMG]

This area is FAR and away a Knicks dominated area, and combine that with CAA not being the easiest place to get to (or nicest place), it just isn't a place that sells out a lot. And as I said before, many people scalp tickets or get them at the last minute...all the playoff games will be sold out.

The problem is is the Knicks having the Garden. I have been to 2 Knick games this year. 1 vs NJ when it was Knicks at home and the place was packed. Since NJ and NY are so close it is tough for NJ because of the history of the Garden. When I went a net game( vs LA 12/22) place was packed of course full of Kobe fans. But I think to have a RELIABLE opinon you have to watch them on TV on a regular basis or go there.

Well, I was at Game 3 Friday, and it was a sold out crowd that got very loud at times. It was also like this at game 3 last year vs Miami, and game 6 vs Detroit in 2004 (both of which I was at).

It was LOUD that game, and those damn clappers were annoying as hell (the guy behind me kept banging them right in my ear).

We sure did blow it that game. I love those clappers things, but they do get annoying. Man I miss those games. Hey, if the Nets make it to the conference finals, I say we meet up and go to a game :winkglasses:

SO I'm hopeful I will be back in time to see the Nets in the playoffs.
