We are gonna get swept, face it.1. Kobe2. Luke3. Farmar4. TuriafThose are the only must keeps for the future in my opinion. The rest can go, even Lamar and Bynum. We can move up in the draft and get some real CONSISTENT players here.
Whenever I watch the Lakers, your post defense is as pathetic as the Milwaukee Bucks'.... Why the Lakers are the way they are right now. 1. For years you guys couldn't add a great third player because of Shaq/Kobe's contracts. 2. You trade Shaq and don't get equal value back. 3. Your doing around average so your draft picks aren't that good. 4. There are no 'big' impact FA's to bring in because they all seem to be resigning with their teams. Your in a bit of a pickle. But being in Los Angeles really helps, because lots of guys will be willing to go there.

I'd say they got good value for the Shaq trade. The problem was they got two guys that play the same position in Caron Butler and Lamar Odom - SF. Odom can play PF, but he is better off at SF. Then they got Brian Grant who I don't know where the hell is now. In other words, Grant had a huge contract and they waived him, and Butler just didn't fit with them and their offense.

Not a good deal and not good value for Shaq. Also, with Grant they did not waive him immediately. He played a year with the Lakers. And he's currently retired. But Yeah, I don't see how you can say that's a good trade off.

He should be healthy next season, I mean, Turiaf is good but, we'd be stupid not to keep at least one of our bigs.

But you stayed true, and I said something along the lines of, "You may be a homer, but I'd rather have a homer over a quitter any day". I guess I spoke too soon.
Yeah dude. But you always say that you hope we get swept so we can get a better built team. Now look, WERE WINNING because I'm not being a homer! lol

I said that doing badly in this series MIGHT be better in the long run because management MIGHT be pushed to make some big trades that MIGHT help this team. Those are three big mights. The competitve nature in me would never want to get swept out of the first round. And no matter the circumstances I'd never hope it happened.
