It's been hyped up like hell here, a commercial every 10 minutes. I'm rooting for De la Hoya, it's obvious he's going to win...I don't think I'll pay to watch it, tho.

Two of my favouite fighters, can't wait for this. I think Mayweather will have too much for De La Hoya, but De La Hoya's experience and the fact he is used to fighting bigger men will keep it tight.Like a lot of people have been saying about the fight, it really does feel like the last big superfight. Boxing really needs to sort itslf out. Go down to one main organisation so the belt means something again. I know its hard but they have to get rid of the corruption or they might lose fans forever.

Well. I just did it. I put 10K on Mayweather. Should be a semi-easy fight for him. This would be a great fight in De La Hoya's prime. But now? This is a publicity stunt. I see this as kinda like Rocky 6. De La Hoya's "goodbye" to the ring and Mayweathers chance for possibly the biggest payday of his career.

Oscar is past his prime but will still be the best boxer to get in the ring with mayweather. .and you have to remember that mayweather has not fought any big names. Oscar will be the biggest fighter he has ever gotten in the ring with. Floyd is going up in weight while DLH has had experience at 154. Oscar is always the underdog and has knocked out all his opponents that were talking trash. Floyd has never fought anyone with Oscars boxing skills. If Floyd wins, it will be by decision.

Genaro Hernandez, Angel Manfredy , Diego Corrales, Carlos Hernandez, Jes?s Ch?vez, Castillo, Ndou, Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah, Baldomir - all good or excellent fighters when Mayweather beat them. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a huge De La Hoya fan and think he will go down as one of the greats no matter what happens in this fight, but people need to stop putting Mayweather down because they don't seem to like his attitude. The guy is trying to sell tickets (and more importantly - pay-per-view sales).

Fight of the decade? 2000-2010I think so.Give me De La Hoya by decision...everybody is saying Mayweather is "gonna knock this chump out" but I think De La Hoya is too good of a boxer to let that happen..he's got the brains and Mayweather has the brawns

Floyd is a masterful tactician, he doesn't just go out swinging.

I would usually pick Mayweather and thats who I am going for, but I have a bad feeling about De La Hoya, anytime he has been in a fight where there has been bad blood, it doesn't turn out so well for the other guy. I think Mayweather has what it takes to beat him, I just dont know if he will be smart enough to do it.

I am picking De La Hoya to win tomorrow. Like everyone said, he is the smarter boxer in terms of how to handle each opponent. Also, Mayweather was talking smack translating into De La Hoya having the edge. IMO

Seriously, I don't know who you lot have been watching if you don't think Floyd Mayweather is a smart fighter. He is one of the best tactical fighters of the last 15 years. It will be a great fight and fairly even. Mayweather has the speed advantage, De La Hoya the power.

Mayweather UD. Oscar will come out early with a little flare, but Mayweather will end up with the win.1. Floyd's hand speed will be too much for Oscar2. The move up to 154 will NOT affect Floyd as alot think3. Oscar F*cked up when he didnt give Floyd Sr. the 2 million to train him4. Floyd's Phill Shell defense is too much for DLH.

It isn't as fun watching it the next day knowing who won and watching a fight like this is a once in a decade chance.Mayweather though is pound for pound the best fighter around. I just think it would be better for Boxing if De La Hoya wasn't knocked out though and won the fight. When people talk sh*t to Oscar they pay for it..just watch this fight. This is the final round. Osca'r still got it and I don't care what anybody says. 34 is not old. Watch the way his hands move.http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gd7Dlv7MaRU

Mayweather for the win. Hes reppin for Michigan is the best pound for pound fighter in the world. He'll be too quick for De La Hoya.Im not buying it, going to a restaurant/sports bar to watch it. $50 is a waste of money, considering it might only like 1 or 2 rounds.

Great fight, it was just what boxing needed, a real shot in the arm. Mayweather deserved the win, his shots were more crisp and he obviously had a perfect plan that he utilised from the start.

Watched it and recorded it.Lived up to the hype especially the last round..I loved De La Hoya's aggressiveness but Mayweather is just too much of a tankI feel like he doesn't give Oscar enough credit though..Oscar was very good tonight...I'm not surprised that NOBODY talked about the fight in this thread

I disagree...you're just saying that because it's what they said on ESPN [IMG] hahaOscar didn't 'mess up big'Mayweather was just the better boxer tonight and had more stamina and was quicker in the later rounds...I do think that there should of at least been consideration of a draw though...I hope this isn't it for both fights..De La Hoya can't go out on a decision loss..that's just not in his character and I think Mayweather is too cocky to leave the game while he's still in his prime when he can still push people around in the ring
