Now it’s SL and I realize that’s not the best place to judge a guy, but he looked pretty good out there. He wouldn’t be the first skinny kid to make it in the NBA...
I agree, "smooth" is probably the best word to describe how he played today. He never seemed out of control, but it's not like he was just in a shell all game long either. It probably helped that he came off the bench and didn't have pressure to be the top scoring threat though. The same pressure that makes guys like Collins and Layman look like shit.
I hope Mark Mason says his name similar to how he said "Andre Miller", where he draws out the name. "Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhndre Miller" so he could do "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanfernee Simons!"
Kid looks smooth out there. I didn't see any deer in the headlights looks. He's gonna be fine. I look forward to his development.
I am just curious, a lot of things being said about Simon is the same things that were said about Will Barton when he was drafted? I did not get to watch the game. Any similarities?
I wonder, if he didn't have such a baby face, if people would say anything about his slight frame. He doesn't look stick thin, which you would think by the way he is described. But it seems like weight alone has people thinking he's a year or two from contributing. Barton weighed less coming in than he did. Zach Lavine weighed less coming in. Jeremy Lamb. A lot of guys
Not concerned at all, if he has work ethic then some time in the gym + whey and additives will do the trick.
More like a baby body, and an adult face. Rookie Barton was a crazy dribbler. The Kid dribbles normally.
